Some people say that "Hongcun is a painting, and Xidi is a book", which is a very appropriate metaphor. Walking in the quiet and quaint streets, on both sides are residential houses built by the water and a wide variety of plaques and couplets, which have a unique charm. "Sunning crops in autumn" is a common phenomenon in Huizhou. Huizhou has a humid climate. In order to better preserve crops, every autumn, the villagers of Chengkan take advantage of the fine weather to dry the crops just harvested in the village drying yard or on the drying racks in front of and behind the houses. Sunning crops in autumn has become a beautiful scenery in Chengkan. Some people say that if autumn is ten points beautiful, nine points must be in Chengkan. The "pure land on earth" hidden in the mountains of southern Anhui, the Yangchan Tulou in She County, is breathtakingly beautiful. Our ancestors used their wisdom and hard work to create the brilliant earthen building culture. The Tulou are built against the mountain and beside the water, with a staggered and rigorous layout. Each unit is different, with a small patio or garden, giving people a sense of tranquility and elegance. The Tulou has a history of more than 400 years and is the largest Tulou group in Anhui.
