My family and I recently went on a 8D7N trip to Osaka, Japan and we stayed at Hotel Gracery Osaka Namba which was located near Jr Namba. We travelled using the OCAT bus from Kansai International Airport to our hotel as the hotel is located just right beside the Bus Terminal. The hotel is within walking distance to the subway and the massive underpass will also bring you to the iconic Dotonbori. During the stay at Osaka, we also travelled to Koyasan, Ama-no-Hishidate, Ine, Miyamachokita. The views were absolutely mesmerising. Food there was definitely a bomb! I think my waist just grew by a few inches in that trip. 🥲 P.s. Can I also mention the affordable price of Kura Sushi?! Aunt Aom complained...worshiping at Hozenji Temple (法善寺) in Dotonburi. The statue is very beautiful. I searched for information and found out that the statue covered in green moss is the statue of the god Fudō Myō-ō (Fudō Myō-ō / 不動明王). It is known as “Mizukake Fudō” (水掛不動), which means “Fudo who pours water”. They scoop water from a wooden jar and pour it on the statue to pray for good luck, good health, and success. We had dinner at Ichiran Namba Midosuji before taking an evening stroll along the lively streets of Osaka. Despite it being a well-known chain, the experience still felt unique. Ichiran is famous for its individual dining booths, which was perfect after a long day when all you want is to focus on your food. Ordering was done through a vending machine, and then we filled out a form to customise our bowl of tonkotsu ramen—everything from noodle firmness to spice level and richness of the broth. The ramen was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The noodles were firm (just how I like them), and the pork slices were tender and tasty. Their signature red sauce gave the broth a subtle kick without overpowering the flavors. The experience felt efficient yet personal. Great spot if you’re craving a solid bowl of ramen in Osaka.
