A trip to Eastern Europe brought us to the picturesque lakeside town of Hallstatt. With its emerald mountains, clear lake, drifting mist, and church bell tower, it forms a beautiful postcard scene! If you visit Hallstatt without staying a night, how can you experience the town's most beautiful dusk and dawn? Make sure to spend the extra money on a lake view room to truly immerse yourself in the scenery! The Heritage Hotel is located right next to the pier and the church, offering prime lake views. The hotel has two buildings, and we were assigned to the one perched on the hillside. Although it wasn't directly by the lake, the higher elevation provided even better lake views, complete with a private balcony overlooking Lake Hallstatt. It was fantastic. We booked two superior double rooms, with a rate of €353 per night excluding breakfast. It's not too expensive, considering the rooms are 22 square meters with a private balcony and a sofa lounge area. The room I stayed in was on the top floor with a slanted roof, and there was a skylight above the bed, allowing us to stargaze while lying in bed. It was truly exceptional. The town is incredibly peaceful and pleasant in the early morning and evening, unlike the crowded and noisy daytime. Staying one night is really worth it, as you can capture postcard-perfect scenes without any tourists, making it look like a painting.

A lake with a spectacular view that will change your life □Lake Hallstatt 📍Hallstatt, Austria I wanted to see a spectacular view that would move me to the bottom of my heart! At first, I thought about going to see a lake in Switzerland, but I thought that if I was going to Austria, it would be best to take a day trip by train to Hallstatt. It was an individual trip, not a tour. There was only one direct train per day, so I was a little worried, but the excitement and sense of adventure won out. It took about three and a half hours to arrive at the station from Vienna station, and from there we took a boat to the opposite shore. You need to hand over cash when boarding, and it is a round-trip ticket, so be careful not to lose it. I had about four to five hours until the return train, so I was able to take a leisurely stroll around the small town. The meaning of going on a trip is, of course, to actually see the scenery with your own eyes, but I think the best part is enjoying it with all five senses, such as feeling the air on your skin and tasting delicious food. Hallstatt in person was even more amazing than I had imagined it from pictures...! The scenery was so amazing that it changed my outlook on life. When it comes to lakes, we must mention the lake in Hallstatt, Europe's most beautiful town. The crystal-clear water, combined with the blue sky, mountain scenery, and town views, makes it a perfect place to spend a day in a daze. Walking around the lake, every spot is picturesque, and every photo taken looks like a postcard. You could spend an entire day just taking photos.

We booked a three-bedroom loft apartment, and it was exactly as shown in the pictures—everything was clean and tidy. From the bedroom windows, you can see mountains and lakes on three sides, and from the living room balcony, you can see the village of Hallstatt. The rooms are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and cooking. The owners provide essentials like tea, coffee, salt, sugar, and basic cooking oil. The apartment also has many games, puzzles, and books that my children loved. They also have a sun deck by the lake, which is a great spot for a quick picnic. The apartment is very close to all the places you want to visit in Hallstatt, yet it is very quiet and away from the tourist hustle and bustle. Hallstatt Lahn (bus/boat station) is a 4-minute walk from the apartment, and we had no trouble dragging our suitcases from there to the apartment. There is a children's park 50 meters from the apartment, which the kids loved. Supermarkets and restaurants are also nearby. The owners are very nice. They live on the first floor. They helped us move our luggage to the second floor (where we stayed) and let us use the washing machine (+ dryer) where we washed all our clothes. They even brought some bread so the kids could feed the swans on the sun deck. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Hallstatt.

They were originally on the seabed tens of thousands of years ago, but were uplifted into mountains by the compression of the plates, and these thousand-year-old crystallized salt mines are treasured in this mountain 511 meters above sea level. The tour experience here is held every half an hour. If you buy your ticket on the spot, you shouldn't have to wait too long. After the ticket is checked, you need to change into a miner's uniform and queue up with the staff to receive it, and then return it after the tour. There are two wooden slides in the salt mine. In the past, they were tools for miners to move to the lower level. Now they are the highlight of the tour that excites tourists. With a length of 64 meters, it is also the longest wooden slide in Europe. The tour guide will ask everyone to line up one by one. There is also a traffic light sign above, which is super cute. You can slide down alone or with two people. There is also a small screen above to help you take pictures. After that, we walked all the way in the underground salt mine. Salt crystals can be seen everywhere on the walls. Since 1960, excavation projects have been carried out here every year to continuously study the historical trajectory of mine excavations over the past thousand years. There are also many installations in the tunnels, like a natural indoor museum, allowing tourists to learn about the stories of the past. Hello Dearies! ✨ Presenting the beautiful fairytale lakeside town that inspired the famous Disney movie that we all know - Frozen ☃️ The plan was actually to visit Hallstatt and Salzburg together and its accesible by direct regional train from Munich via 3 hours of trainride. But I get more creative and decided to explore Obertraun and Dachstein while I’m in the region since we had extra days for the holiday. From Salzburg, its a 2 hour bus ride to get to Hallstatt and you will descend near the lake with an amazing view of colourful house. Its a small town and will take around 2-3 hours of exploring but if you are adventurous you can try to hike to the waterfall shown in the video for further adrenaline rush! If you want to spend more tranquil vibe near the lake, you can try booking a one night stay at the Hallstatt area but be sure to book well in advance or else everything will be super expensive.
