Hvar: Sun-Kissed Luxury and Island Charm
Hvar is the perfect blend of Mediterranean beauty and vibrant island life. My stay at the stunning apartment was an absolute highlight, offering incredible views of the turquoise waters. The heart of the island, **Hvar Town**, buzzes with energy, from its historic **Fortica Fortress** to its lively marina. I recommend climbing to the fortress for panoramic views of the town and nearby islands—it's worth the trek! For a relaxing escape, head to **Pakleni Islands** for secluded beaches and crystal-clear coves. Hvar’s nightlife is also not to be missed, with chic bars along the waterfront. This island has it all—history, adventure, and luxury!
**#TravelTips:** Visit during the shoulder season to avoid crowds and enjoy the island’s natural beauty in peace. And don’t miss trying the local lavender products, a specialty of Hvar.

Croatia🇭🇷Hvar Island | Amazing Jelly Sea
You don’t have to go island hopping when you visit Croatia, as you can just take a boat to Hvar and you’ll have everything you need! I already knew Hvar Island was beautiful before coming here, but I didn’t expect it to be so stunning. The glass-clear sea is a natural jelly color! ! 🏝️This is the sea that only appears when adjusting the color online, it is visible to the naked eye here! The moment you step off the boat, you will be completely captivated by the beautiful scenery! ✨
The island of Hvar meets all the expectations and needs of everyone for a vacation. Here, you just need to slow down and feel the healing power of the jelly sea. When you are tired, you can drink coffee and eat ice cream on the beach. The restaurant is also beautifully decorated with flowers. Everything is so beautiful!
🛳️Transportation:
It is a 1-hour boat ride from Split. I bought tickets from TPLine and Krilo for the outbound and return trips respectively. The one-way fare is 25 Euros for one person and you can arrange your own time.
👙👓Activities:
1️⃣ Recommended for those who want to swim and sunbathe, you can search directly for Beach club hvar. There is a public beach next to this club, where you can rent sun umbrellas and lounge chairs. There are also many places along the way where you can go directly into the sea, and there are not many people~
2️⃣You can go out to sea and visit different islands. Many people also go to the blue cave/green cave
3️⃣Go to a cafe/restaurant, sit and enjoy the scenery. Most of them are beautifully decorated and the food quality is above average. As for wine, house wine has the highest personality and is close in price to soda.

🇭🇷 Hvar Island with the clearest sea in Croatia
Hvar is an island that you can take a boat to from Split.
While traveling around Croatia, I thought this island had the clearest water!
Also, if you climb up the Spanish Fortress, you can see the whole view of Hvar Island.

Crystal clear Hvar
Hvar is an amazing Croatian island that people don’t know enough about. The Town of Hvar has it all. Beaches, Sunshine, Nightlife and crystal clear water.
I’ve been to many places around the world and rarely to beaches close to the towns have. I’ve clean water but this one has. The beaches are very close to all the hotel resorts and walking distance from the Center of town.
The also have showers in the forests for you to wash off all the seawater, and most restaurants in town allow you to get a table in casual clothes.
😁If you are lucky you might also be able to see some ancient ships that still patrol the area. All in all I would definitely recommend this town and island to anyone that is visiting Croatia for its beauty and its untouched natural beaches. Keep in mind most of them are rocky.😉

Hvar, also
Hvar, also known as Lavender Island
Hvar is famous for lavender. Many hawkers on the island sell lavender products, such as sachets and essential oils.
Some essential oil bottles have hand painted on them
Generally, tourists will stay here for one night and join the blue cave tour there.
However, the weather was not really good when we arrived Hvar so we didn’t join the tour.
I heard that blue caves are sometimes closed because the water level is too high.
If you plan to visit the blue cave, you are suggested to ask the boat agent earlier.
Also, you can rent a speedboat to visit nearby islands from Hvar.
You can see many of these bakeries (PEKARA) in Croatia,
open 24 hours and the price is reasonable, you can buy their bread for breakfast. It is tasty.
Because Hvar has very famous stone terraces
The whole city fluctuates with the terrain of the hillside, so the whole picture has many layers.
It is recommended that you go to the hillside to see the whole city from top to bottom
The blue sky, the green space, the red ancient city ...
In the evening, the different flavors of Stephana Church
Rather than spending a lot of time on the street, I prefer to run down the alley
I am sure that it will surprise you!

7 days best itinerary for first time in Croatia!
Croatia 🇭🇷
This is the first time I visited this beautiful country and I couldn’t have been more pleased to have found the time to travel this gem!
A week is definitely not enough, but driving from Zagreb down to Dubrovnik, already offers so much to experience and see.
I found the #plitvicelakesnationalpark to be incredible! The views, the sound of the waterfalls, simply astonishing!
A couple of hours driving from there, you have #KrkaNationalPark that offers hundreds of waterfalls as well. (I enjoyed Plitvice Lakes National Park more though)
Split and its beautiful Diocletian's Palace was a surprise to me. I really enjoyed this nice port town and I found a super nice coffee shop as well inside the walls (thank you @d16coffee for the best #bestcoffeeincroatia). I would have liked to spend more days in #split.
From Split it’s a must to take a ferry to the super fun #hvar island and spend 2-3 days there. The #paklinskiislands are really pretty and you can get around just by renting your own boat (you don’t actually need a boat license for small ones). The nightlife on the island is fun as well, so, definitely worth to spend a few days here.
And finally Dubrovnik (aka King’s Landing for #gameofthrones fans)! #dubrovnik is special, it is.
A perfectly kept medieval town with its original walls surrounding the Old Town. You can hire a kayak and go around the pristine Adriatic Sea, walk the entire length of the walls (euro 35 to enter though 😅) and grab a bite in one of the hundred restaurants and cafés inside the old town.
In brief, I loved Croatia, and I’ll be back and spend more time next 🤞🏻🤞🏻

The Lavender Fields of Hvar, Croatia
We took a ferry to Hvar in late spring and discovered hills of lavender in bloom. The scent lingered in the breeze as we hiked inland trails and took in views of the Adriatic Sea. Stay in a guesthouse and rent a scooter to explore local farms. A peaceful Mediterranean escape. The majority of Hvar's lavender fields are located around Zastražišće, Gdinj, Bogomolje, Brusje, Grablje and along all road from Stari Grad to Hvar.

Hvar, where I went to find romance ✨
It was only one night, but it was so nice both day and night
Sometimes I suddenly think of it and look for the records I took,
and when that's not enough, I look for other people's records. Hvar is full of charm.
I still regret not being able to swim in Hvar,
so I definitely plan to go swimming later!!🩷🩷

Exquisite sweets I found on Hvar Island! Nonica Caffe Bar
#0yentravel
I stopped by Nonica Caffe Bar while walking around Hvar Island.
The cakes here were really delicious!
Not too sweet, but still satisfying, with an exquisite balance of flavors.
It's a small shop, but the display case is lined with cakes that look like they were made by hand, and I seriously had a hard time deciding which one to choose (lol).
I chose chocolate cake, which was light and fluffy, and I could eat as much as I wanted!
It's become a favorite cafe that you should definitely stop by when you go to Hvar Island.
Basic information about the place
・Store name: Nonica Caffe Bar
・Location: Hvar Island, Croatia
・Opening hours: Usually morning to evening (may vary depending on the season)
・Characteristics: A popular local sweets cafe. They are famous for their handmade cakes, and you can enjoy exquisite sweets with a moderate sweetness.
While exploring Hvar Island, I stumbled upon the cutest little spot — Nonica Caffe Bar!
Their cakes are absolutely delicious — not too sweet, but so satisfying.
The cozy shop had a display full of handmade cakes, and honestly, it was so hard to choose just one!
I ended up going with a chocolate cake, and it was so light and fluffy, I could’ve eaten a second slice without even thinking.
If you're visiting Hvar, I totally recommend stopping by this charming cafe. It became one of my favorite finds on the island!

Hvar
#celebrateit
Laid-back Mediterranean vibe, fascinating turquoise coves, thriving nightlife, pristine beaches, aromatic fields of lavender and olives, and arresting views of authentic Croatian towns and villages- that's how the popular posh party island of Hvar presents itself to its visitors. This sunkissed island in Croatia is a paradise for party lovers, and witnesses a throbbing crowd of tourists from all over the world, especially during Summers.
The queen of the Croatian Dalmatian islands', Hvar has a special place among all the other Croatian tourism highlights. What makes it stand different from the rest is the unique experiences this majestic island has to offer.
HVAR Day Trip from Split 😍
#europetravel
Hvar, Croatia, was an absolute dream! The best way to visit Hvar is a day trip from Split! When I got to the island, I was struck by the stunning views of the crystal-clear water and the charming old town. I spent my days wandering the cobblestone streets, checking out cute shops and cozy cafes.
One of my favorite moments was just lounging around the waterfront, soaking up the sun with a refreshing drink in hand. The sunsets were magical🥹; I loved watching the sky turn vibrant shades of orange and pink from the fortress overlooking the town.
I also explored nearby islands on a boat tour, which was a highlight. I can’t wait to go back!
Hiking in Hvar
The hike up to Napoleon Fort in Hvar is not a long one, it only takes about 40 minutes but it is a difficult one. The path is very steep and has many stones which means your footing can be quite unstable; however the views on the way up and from the top make it all worthwhile. If you only have a couple of hours to spare and want to enjoy some fantastic views, this is a great hike to do.

[Croatia] Adriatic Sea/Hvar Island
#0yentravelJanuary2025
I went to Croatia last year🇭🇷
I took a plane from the capital Zagreb to Split, and then took a boat to the island of Hvar🏝️
The country is said to be the inspiration for Kiki's Delivery Service and Porco Rosso
The view from Hvar Island is like something out of a movie
It's hard because there are a lot of stairs and it's hot, but after climbing up, you're soothed by the beautiful scenery.
And you can get into the sea everywhere, so I spent all my time in my swimsuit
I jumped in, dried off as I walked, and jumped in again...🌊
A country I want to visit again
🇭🇷/Boat transfers from Hvar to other islands
#0yentravelnovember
One of the recommended things to do on Hvar Island is to take a boat to a nearby island!
There are boat taxis, and the prices vary!
You can experience different things on different islands, so I recommend going to several!
Island hopping!
The closest island is
"Jerolim"
It has Amo Beach, and it's the island with the world-famous nude beach!

🇭🇷/Hvar Island Fruit Market
#0yentravelnovember
There is a fruit market🍎🥭🍏 on the island of Hvar
There is also a supermarket, but some places only sell fruit
It is more expensive than a supermarket, but the atmosphere is nice and you can't help but buy
In the fall, pomegranates, which are rare in Japan, are available, and they are very cheap!!
There are also many fruits that you have never seen in Japan, so it might be worth stopping by once!
You can buy by the gram, so you can buy without worrying!

Here is the church that represents Hvar and is a landmark of Hvar
[St. Stephen's Cathedral]
St. Stephen's Cathedral
Address: Trg Sv. Stjepana 21450, Hvar
It stands in St. Stephen's (Main) Square in the center of Hvar.
It was built between the 16th and 17th centuries, and a bell tower was built next to it in the 17th century.
The exterior is in Renaissance style, and the interior has a Baroque altar.

🇭🇷/A world like Ghibli
#0yentravelnovember
A landscape that makes you feel like you've entered the world of Ghibli
Kiki's Delivery Service and Porco Rosso are said to be based on Croatian towns
There is actually an orange-roofed building by the sea in the picture 🎵
Why are Croatian roofs orange?
Some European buildings use "Western tiles" on their roofs.
Western tiles are tiles made from clay and are bisque fired. They have been produced in Japan since the end of the Edo period.
The color varies depending on the quality of the clay harvested, but the finished tiles are often reddish brown, the same color as baked clay.
As a result, the roofs of the buildings are orange in color.

If you're going to Hvar,
I definitely recommend summer!
You can enjoy the Adriatic Sea!
You can also take a boat to a nearby island!
There are many swimming areas and you can go in as much as you like.
There are also diving spots, so if you get hot, just jump in!
What is the Adriatic Sea?
A branch of the Mediterranean Sea between Italy and the Balkan Peninsula. Its name comes from the city of Adria, which is said to have been founded by the Etruscans.
The water temperature is about 30°C in summer and about 12°C in winter.
