【Introduction】: The Confucius Museum, located in Qufu, Shandong Province, is a national first-class museum dedicated to comprehensively interpreting Confucian thought and culture. It integrates functions such as artifact preservation, research, education, and cultural dissemination.
The museum is situated at the southern end of the central axis of Qufu City, 4 kilometers south of the Confucius Temple, and complements the "Three Confucian Sites" World Cultural Heritage. Designed by Wu Liangyong, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the museum covers an area of 168,000 square meters with a total building area of 55,000 square meters. The main building adopts a Han-style architectural theme and is a modern provincial-level specialized museum. The exhibition area spans 17,000 square meters. The upper exhibition hall features the "Great Confucius" permanent exhibition, consisting of an introductory hall and five sections: Confucius' Era, Confucius' Life, Confucius' Wisdom, Confucius and Chinese Civilization, and Confucius and World Civilization. The lower exhibition hall hosts the "Family Legacy" permanent exhibition, divided into three units: "Legacy for Generations," "Confucius Mansion Archives," and "Queli Heritage." There are also temporary exhibition halls for special topics.

Scale and Sources: The museum houses a total of 700,000 artifacts, including items from the Confucius Mansion, archaeological finds, and socially collected items. The collection includes ritual instruments for Confucius worship, 300,000 Confucius Mansion archives, over 8,000 Ming and Qing dynasty costumes, more than 40,000 ancient books, and bronze artifacts unearthed from the ancient state of Lu.
⭐️ Treasures of the Museum: Highlights include a Warring States period yellow jade horse sculpture, Shang and Zhou dynasty ritual vessels, and Ming dynasty painted illustrations of Confucius' life.
