In the relatively off-season autumn, I stayed at the #AYA Apartment Hotel in Niseko, a ski resort in Hokkaido. I booked a two-bedroom apartment with mountain view, directly facing Mount Yotei. The price for four people per night was about NT$7,500 excluding breakfast. The CP value is very high, and the price may double in the peak season! AYA Apartment Hotel is very new and upscale. Each room has its own parking space. The entrance lobby is even more magnificent. The interior is mainly decorated in black rock and wood tones. No where in the world have I felt snow this soft and marshmallow like and I’ve been to Switzerland! This is a phenomenon caused by the snow from Russia who picked up the water on the Sea of Japan (East Sea) that made the snow this soft and beautiful. We took snowboarding lessons (it’s a must! Unless you’re a seasoned expert :)) and rented a car for our Hokkaido trip (also a must if you can!). Whilst it can be extremely crowded, the views of Mount Yotei and the soft snow made the trip extra special 😍❤️
