The second time I returned to Ly Son to answer everyone's questions about this beautiful, peaceful island after nearly a month on the island, the tiny island that made me miss it so much. I hope that my experiences will help everyone on their upcoming trip. 1. How to get to Ly Son: - There are 2 ways to get to Ly Son: from Hanoi or from Da Nang, I have been to both and found some advantages and disadvantages of both ways as follows: + 1 is from Hanoi, the price will be higher because there are not many flights, the airport is small so there is only one flight at 7:20 a.m. all day, the price is quite high, moving from the airport to Sa Ky port, there is no shared car so you have to rent a car for about 500k, it takes 45 minutes. But it saves a lot of time + 2 is to go from Da Nang, the flight from Hanoi to DN is also cheaper, there are many shared buses, the price for 1 seat is 250k but it takes 3 hours by shared bus and 45 minutes by train. This way is more economical but takes more time. I will leave the phone number of the shared bus below the comment 2. What is the best month for the weather in Ly Son? - In my opinion, the best weather in Ly Son is from April to September, you can follow the weather and wind on Windy when you are close to going to get the most accurate information, but the most reliable is to go in June and July when the waves are calm and the wind is not strong. 3. Homestay on Dao Lon I often stay at Mr. Minh Black's home near Hang Cau (Price from 400k), although there is no beautiful sea view but it is very clean, I feel like every time I come home, my grandparents are waiting for me, the rice cooked by my second sister is delicious, very delicious. The weather may be bad but Ly Son is always beautiful ❤️ After 2 days of wandering around Quang Ngai city because the boat to the island was stopped, we finally arrived at the island 🏝️. Although I took motion sickness pills, I still 🤢 Stepping off the boat, there was a combo of rain + wind + cold :))) Luckily, the night before going to the island, we booked a room at Huy Nguyen Ly Son Island Homestay & Cafe - a small, pretty homestay on the beach. Because of the bad weather, there was no canoe to the small island, so the whole time we were on the big island playing 😂 For 2 nights on the island, we stayed in 2 different rooms: Autumn room 🍂 (room with 2 beds 🛏️ double - 1 million/day but because we went with 2 people, it was reduced to 700k) - young master room (600k), all rooms are beautifully decorated, fully equipped - just lying in the room, you can have a photo album :))) Everyone at the homestay is enthusiastic and thoughtful. All train tickets, booking a car to the port were booked by the homestay. The day we arrived, Uncle Nhan - the homestay owner - came all the way to the pier to pick us up. As soon as we arrived at the homestay, the staff invited us to drink orange juice, and then everyone asked us if we were seasick. Huhu, it felt like we were returning home from a long trip 🥹 Miss Tien cooks delicious meals, so we ate all our meals at the homestay. The first day we checked in - had lunch - rested in the afternoon, we just walked around the homestay. The second day it rained in the morning so we just stayed in the room to take pictures of the room before moving to another room. - After lunch, the sun cleared up so we took our motorbikes and drove around the island to check in the attractions on the island (Mu Cu Lighthouse - Hang Cau - Cot Co - Dinh Thoi Loi - coastal mural road - To Vo Gate). Today I want to introduce use a wonderful Island in Vietnam - Ly Son . Ly Son belong to Quang Ngai province. I had a trip in here in last month in April. It was wonderful, I think if you are looking for a place to take a rest to see the beach and to enjoy the nature, you can not miss this place. The people in here really honestly, open and friendly. just only one thing it may take some disadvantage is sometimes you cannot understand what people say and people in here is not normally speak English. They speak Vietnamese, but is kind of different with the Hanoi people or HCM people . They are really awesome. They support you every time you need they didn't care about much about the money, they will never shouted on you, I have 4 days and 3 nights in here and I am mostly live in Dao Lon and I feel little bit regret because I don't have too much of time to come in Dao Be because I just have like half day to go Dao Be, but the view in there are so great. You can see a lot of plant around there The people in there are simple and are support you always. Lý Sơn, previously known as Cù Lao Ré, is an insular district of Quảng Ngãi province, lying off the South Central Coast of Vietnam. As in other parts of coastal Vietnam[9] whales are important in local mythology and religion. Around one hundred whale skeletons are kept in temples, the largest and most important of which is in Tan Temple in An Hai Commune.[10] According to a local legend, the 200-year-old skeleton are the remains of Nam Hai Dong Dinh Dai Vuong (the king of whales), the most powerful whale in the East Sea.[10] Whale skeletons are worshiped and huge funerals are held when a stranded whale is found because they are believed to protect fishers while they are at sea.[10]
