The beds are comfortable, though sometimes the journey can feel a bit uneventful due to the lack of activities. Most of the food is Chinese cuisine, known for its meticulous preparation and delicious flavors. Many dishes feature yak meat, which might make you feel a bit sorry for the animal, considering it provides milk, labor, wool for carpets and clothing, and is also consumed as food. Traveling to Tibet is not as challenging as you might think. Roads leading to rural areas are now much improved, so you don’t necessarily need to trek to explore Tibet. And that’s the essence of Tibet: "The embrace of the Himalayas, the breath of the mountains, the land of faith on the Roof of the World." Visit the Red Palace and the White Palace and admire the artistic treasures of Tibetan Buddhism. The tour guide said that gold is the least valuable treasure in the Potala Palace. Diamonds, gems, and rare treasures are all priceless. Then go to the nearby Norbulingka, a typical Tibetan-style garden known as the "Summer Palace" of Tibet. Exotic flowers and plants, red and white walls, yellow tiles, and golden roofs are simply beautiful. This lake is one of the prettiest I’ve seen in my life and is regarded by some as the most beautiful lake in the world. Yamdrok Lake is located near Shigatse in the Tibet Autonoumous Region. It stretches 130km in length and is also known as the green jade lake for its smooth surface and color hues from the reflection of the sunlight. One of the highlights of this trip is to take pictures of the starry sky and the Milky Way. We settled in the camping base by the YamdrokTso Lake the previous night. The accommodation conditions are very simple. There are male dormitories and female dormitories. Each dormitory has 5-6 people, just like the dormitory in school. Because the altitude is a bit high, and I was worried about getting up to see the stars at night, I hardly slept all night. At 4 am in the morning, the team leader called up and took pictures of the starry sky. Once step out the dormitory door, you could see the white Milky Way and the stars by eyes. IPhones can also take some photos with straight shots. But it's still inferior to a professional camera, adjust the shutter to 25 seconds, make a good post, keep it still, Kata, the blockbuster is coming! It's like walking in the universe.
