It's one of the busiest ports in Europe, and standing on the shore, watching the giant cargo ships come and go, with seagulls circling overhead, was an incredibly moving experience. There are also many unique restaurants around the port, and I enjoyed authentic German pork knuckle and dark beer at a waterfront restaurant. The meat was tender and flavorful, with crispy skin, and paired perfectly with the refreshing dark beer. It was a culinary delight! I chose these restaurants based on Trip.com's food recommendations, and they were all spot-on! St. Michaelis Church is another must-see attraction in Hamburg. This magnificent Baroque church offers breathtaking views of the entire city from its tower. The interior decoration is exquisite, with every carving and fresco seemingly telling a historical story.
