It is 11.3 meters tall and weighs about 121 tons. It is a bronze forged statue of Amitabha Buddha. Although it is the second largest in Japan, to be honest, some of the large Buddha statues in Taiwan are much larger than the Great Buddha of Kamakura. The Buddha is solemn and majestic, with a sense of history, and is also a very popular photo-taking spot. You can go inside the Buddha for 50 yen and take a look at the internal structure, which is quite unique. There are windows on the back of the Buddha to let in light. The Kotoku-in Great Buddha Hall is not large in scale. It only takes about 30 minutes to visit the interior and take photos with the Buddha.
