The Great Wall of China is sure to be a contender for first and second place among China's World Heritage Sites. I was amazed by both the Chinese dynasties that built this 6,000km-long structure along the difficult-to-climb mountains, which have continued from the pre-Christian era, and the strength of the ethnic minorities that allowed them to do so. From the bus stop, we went to Bei Yilou, and it took about an hour and a half to get to the highest point, Bei Bailou. There are many steep slopes, and it's easy to see how it would be impossible to walk if it were to freeze in winter. Also, when the strong wind blew, I was seriously about to be blown away. On the way back, I went back to Bei Yilou and took a cart (80 yuan) to save time, but considering the waiting time, it didn't make much difference, did it? I know it's a well known place and nobody will see my post because there are many post about the Great Wall. The wall didn't keep away the hostile nations but the ancient people didn't think how huge success will be. Itinerary: I could catch the first S2 train so I arrived quite early. I started with the north part. It took me about 1.5 hours to go to the last tower and back about an hour. it's about 10 km according to my step counter. Then I did the south part. It took me about 70 minutes to complete. It's about 5 km total according to my step counter. I liked walking on a big wall. Be careful with the side walks they can lead to an exit point. it's a question you can exit and come back. According to the guard yes but he told me something about the time. Then we took the high-speed train, which took only 19 minutes to reach Badaling. We quickly took the first cable car at 07:30 to Fort 8 and walked down to Fort 1. ⛩️ The walkway on the wall in the morning was very cold. The wind was so strong that my face almost went numb, but it was so cool because the view was so beautiful. At first, I saw something floating and thought it was pollen, so I quickly told Snow to put on a mask. ...but after a while, it started to feel colder and thicker. Longquanyu Great Wall-Shuiquangou Icefall, 16 km loop This route in Changping should be a combination of various forms of winter hiking: climbing the Great Wall + walking on ice + watching icefalls. It is recommended to come! We drove to the Xiangtun Village Committee and saw that there were more than 10 parking spaces available. This is a route that climbs Longquanyu first and then Shuiquangou.
