A perfect weekend getaway. Nanbei Lake is in Zhejiang, just across the provincial border from Shanghai. The food in the town is delicious and very sweet. There were lots of restaurants and tea houses to visit. Each cluster had its own style and the people in the town were very friendly. When we were there we took the little boat out on the lake and cycled around on the 'chuckle brothers' style tandem. There are lots of hiking trails in the surrounding mountains and new routes were being forged and build in the area. Getting There- from Shanghai we opted to cycle the 130km journey, but a taxi or train and then taxi are options too. This is a spot a little off the beaten track and good opportunity to practice your Chinese #mountainview #lakes

The front desk is quite far from the villas, but shuttle service is available—otherwise, it would involve a lot of walking. The villas are spacious with private courtyards. 🎯Entertainment Facilities: The hotel’s highlights are its water park and Fantasy Island, packed with kid-friendly activities. Every family we saw had children who went wild with excitement the moment they were let loose. 💗Other Tips: For a better experience, avoid holidays! Sauce Garden is about one kilometer away from the ancient town. The place is quite big. Seeing this hat and sauce tank in the sauce garden brought back some memories of childhood.
