We went to Suginoi Hotel in Beppu, Kyushu. Not only were the hotel and hot springs wonderful, but the scenery along the way was very beautiful and unlike anything Japanese in a good way. As we left the town we were greeted by majestic mountain ranges, and as we drove further a waterfall suddenly appeared in the mountains. There was also a roadside station, so we were able to take a break from the long drive and see the waterfall.
