#grassland #100waysoftravel We visited the BOH tea farm located at Sungai Palas and we were truly amazed with lush green tea farmland and grassland giving us a breathtaking scenery. This farmland has a land space of 243 hectares and is the main tea farm for the infamous local tea brand, BOH. It takes around 15 minutes to drive in from the main road and it could be quite challenging to drive in considering the steep and narrow road leading to the tea farm. However, this does not stop us from driving in and it is worth it when you see such a nice lush green scenery in front of you.

#traveldiaries BOH tea is the leading tea brand in Malaysia, and a truly Malaysian pride when it comes to tea. When we were at Cameron Highlands we visited the Sungai Palas BOH Tea Centre, where it is located at the top viewing point of the vast tea farm. There you get to taste the various BOH series of tea like Bukit Cheeding, Gunung Cantek etc. They also sell various cakes, puffs and desserts to go together with the tea. We ordered 3 series of tea (Bukit Cheeding, Gunung Cantek and Palas Supreme), and each comes with a different taste and aroma. Palas Supreme is more soothing type while Bukit Cheeding is the stronger type, while Gunung Cantek is at the middle. The view is indeed breathtaking and sipping tea while enjoying the view is really relaxing and healing. We never expect this place to be so nice, and we will definitely come back again.

The location is far from the main road. We have to pass the tea plantation with a bit challenging road for 20min before reach at the centre. However, when you reach at this place, it was an amazing! This place also offer you to explore tea factory. There are a tour guide that will lead the tourist to go to factory where the process tea leaf. The tourist also can have an experience to enjoy the food with a green tea plantation. The foods are almost good and tasty. Don’t forget to go to Boh Tea Centre when you visit Cameron Highlands.
