The most well known tea plantation in Cameron Highlands is the Boh Tea Plantation. We were immediately struck by how vast this plantation is, covering about 465 hectares. Our guide explained some of the history of the plantation, which is still owned by the original British founders, and how the workers harvest and transport the tea leaves. The journey is abit dangerous with small narrow road, but there are some mirrors at the corner so that you can check whether there's any opposite car. Have to climb about 100 stairs to go up to the cafe. Long queue during weekend but there are two places to purchase food there. Cake taste normal like the other cafe. Cheesecake is awful as there is no cheese taste. The tea felt normal and can buy at normal retail shop at lowland.

BOH Plantations owns three tea gardens - the first garden in Habu, Fairlie Tea Garden and Sungai Palas Tea Garden. To ensure the freshness of its tea products, BOH Plantations also set up a packaging factory near its main garden. BOH tea products are distributed both in domestic and international markets. There was a lot of information about the history BOH Tea in Cameron Highlands, we visited the tea factory which can be in and out in 5 minutes where it shows the working tea factory, you can have a cup of tea at the cafe overlooking the tea plantations or do some shopping at the tea shops. We had a good time there. 📍Address: Boh Tea Centre, Habu Cameron Highland 🕰️Business Hours: 8.30am-4.30am (closed every Monday) 💞Reasons to Recommend: local brand, less crowded, good view, can ride a bus (bas kilang) to the centre, free entry, near to Tapah exit - this is one of the biggest tea plantation in Cameron Highland. - the factory here was built since 1935, it is 1700m from the sea level and it produces 1,250,000 KG of teas per annum which is about 1,710,000 cups of teas PER DAY! - in the weekend, they provide a shuttle bus from parking to the factory. in weekday you can drive your own car or trekking to the top. the view uphill is beautiful. - the cafe serves quite a lot of dessert like cake and scones. they also serves savoury food like Nasi Lemak, Mee Kari, and Soto. - we can visit the factory at certain time slot, to see how they process the tea leaves. it was stated that it’s a guided tour however during our visit, there’s no guide to explain anything so we just see it cluelessly. - we can hike a little bit to the top, 215 steps, the viewpoint, it was magnificent. - from the top, we can see the shuttle bus going up and down the hill in the scenic view, lurveee - beside the cafe, there’s a merch store where you can buy their teas and souvenir.
