Island Strolls and Sea Breeze on Burgazada
#summervacay Spent a super chill day exploring Burgazada Island in Istanbul, Türkiye, and it was such a vibe. The ferry ride over already set the mood, calm waters, seagulls flying around, and a sweet view of the city slowly fading into the distance. Once we got there, everything just felt slower and quieter in the best way. No cars around, just bikes and electric carts, which honestly made it feel like a peaceful escape.
We wandered along the waterfront, grabbed some snacks, and just enjoyed the sea breeze. The island’s not too big, so walking around doesn’t take forever, but every corner has something cute, old wooden houses, cozy cafes, and little beaches. There’s also a path up to a viewpoint with a tiny church that gives you a great panorama of the sea.
Not super touristy like the bigger islands, and that’s what makes it so nice. Just easy, breezy island time. If you're in Istanbul and want to unwind, Burgazada is such a hidden gem.
