[2025 Beijing Restaurant] Travel Guide for Char bar&grill (Updated Jul)

Passing through Beijing, I met up with friends for a meal near Sanlitun and chose CHAR Bar & Grill on the third floor of the InterContinental Hotel. Take the elevator from the hotel lobby to the third floor, turn left, and you'll find the restaurant. The location is great, the ambiance is pleasant and quiet, making it perfect for business dinners or casual meals. The restaurant faces Taikoo Li Sanlitun directly, and dining here in the evening really amps up the atmosphere! Starter: Slow-roasted Chicken Salad, made with cherry tomatoes, arugula, red coral lettuce, spider lettuce hearts, oranges, and more. The presentation was quite appealing! Soup: Lobster Bisque. This was my first time trying lobster bisque, and honestly, it was quite impressive—rich broth with lobster meat, scallops, mussels, Italian parsley, and light cream. One sip and I was hooked! The most ceremonial part was selecting the salt for the steak and the steak presentation itself. We had the Applewood-grilled Australian M2 Grass-fed Tenderloin. The staff brought it out in a box, and when opened, the steaming hot steak made for a truly special moment. Overall, the dining experience was excellent. The staff were warm and attentive, with special thanks to Liu Lingfeng for their thoughtful service and arrangements!

There is also the tender and juicy roast chicken, the aroma of the meat is wrapped in the vigor of spring, and one bite is super satisfying. 📍The InterContinental Hotel in Tongying Center Sanlitun is in a great location! -Downstairs is the former Mechanical and Electrical Compound, now called "No. 4 Courtyard". If you don't want to walk too far, you can eat downstairs. -Go out and cross the road to reach Taikoo Li East District. -The downstairs of Tongying Center is connected to the sunken plaza of Sanlitun SOHO, and Tongying Center itself also has delicious food on the first floor. - The hotel has its own parking lot, which makes parking convenient. 🍀The facilities cannot be considered a family hotel, but it is quite friendly to guests with children. -For example, baby cribs are standard equipment in five-star hotels, and children's pajamas, baby tableware, and baby meals are all available. -Waiters will pay special attention to guests with children and provide corresponding services. 🙋Other things I want to explain↓ 🍳-The Spanish restaurant offers afternoon tea and light meals, and you can eat at any time during the day. 🔥-Camera positions that can take photos of the front of "Taikoo Li" include: the executive lounge, but you need higher membership privileges to go there, the executive room, and the terrace of the steak restaurant. 🏙-Although we can see CBD China Zun from our deluxe room, there is a residential area downstairs outside the window, which is very messy. 🚼-The bedding is very comfortable, and there are mini-sized pillows and quilts for children, which are very cute. 🌸-The flower garden in the lobby on the first floor is beautiful for taking photos, and the afternoon tea here feels even more beautiful. 🛀🏻-The shower, water supply and drainage are all OK, there is a large bathtub, and there is no problem of odor. 👉Considering the superior geographical location of InterContinental Sanlitun and the standard services of a 5-star hotel, I personally feel that if you don't want to leave Beijing, Sanlitun is still very attractive for taking your kids out for a walk. When I want to eat steak, I always think of CHAR GRILL at InterContinental Sanlitun, the quality has always been good. This time a friend from abroad came to Beijing. The children want to eat steak, plus they want to visit Sanlitun. This is definitely the first choice. This time I came to CHAR GRILL, the waiter introduced them to the launch of menu 2.0, and these dishes will be available in CHAR across the country, full of curiosity for fresh things I must try. After removing the meat, the bread crab is seasoned with avocado. The seaweed was paired with toasted crispy bread crumbs and three types of caviar. The charcoal-grilled turbot has tender and juicy meat. The golden skin of the roasted chicken, the spices grilled over the charcoal fire after the box is opened, the flavor is more intense after being smoked. Of course, the menu upgraded, can not not order a steak, the quality of the meat and production, has always been the reason I chose CHAR. The service is as professional and comfortable as ever, the bone marrow braised rice cooked in the chef's hall is definitely my favorite thing lately, the aroma and ceremony are bursting.
