[Pushpin] Experience Review: 1️⃣ Prime location – the hotel’s back door leads directly into the ancient town. 2️⃣ Prompt concierge service, though the front desk lacked professionalism. Staff were warm and welcoming. You can arrange for the garden shuttle in advance for comings and goings. 3️⃣ Spacious rooms with classic charm, though the mattress was a bit too soft. 4️⃣ Toiletries: Byredo scent wasn’t appealing. Hairdryer: Dyson (though the quality seemed off). Sound system: Marshall/Bose (inconsistent). 5️⃣ First round of minibar is free with a good selection of drinks. You can also choose to transfer in Kunming, which would be more economical. ⚠️ Things to avoid!! 1. Many fruit vendors in the Old Town - most I bought from were disappointing. The monstera fruit, sugar apple, and dragon fruit weren't tasty 2. Whether it's souvenirs, clothes, or jewelry, you really need to compare prices at multiple shops + bargain.
