Fagradalsfjall is a volcano in Tuyya, Reykjanes Peninsula, formed during the last glacial period, about 40 km from Reykjavík, Iceland. Fagradalsfjall is also the name of a wider volcanic system between the Svartsengi and Krýsuvík systems, covering areas of 5 km and 16 km. The highest peak in the area is Langhóll. Iceland's Fagradalsfjall volcano began erupting on March 19, 2021, and has been erupting for six months. Although the eruption has ended, it is still amazing to see the new lava field and crater formed by the eruption up close.
