Guangzhou has a colorful painted street
Near Beijing Road Pedestrian Street in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, there is a historic and culturally rich old street called Fuxue West Street. "Fuxue" refers to the Guangzhou Prefectural School built during the Song Dynasty, which was the highest educational institution run by the local government. Originally lined with old buildings, as part of urban renewal, the street-facing walls of these houses have been adorned with unique 3D murals, transforming Fuxue West Street into a vibrant "graffiti street" full of Cantonese culture and local charm. Each building is painted in different colors, featuring historical scenes, stories, cuisine with Lingnan characteristics, and colorful anime scenes, awakening nostalgic memories for locals and offering endless photo opportunities for visitors.
