Get your hiking gear ready with good pair of shoes and you are ready to continue the hike on Gamaksan. The forest trail route is marked clearly and stairs are also built here. There are some steep slopes and if you have a hiking pole then you can also use it to assist you. Many hikers who hike up to Gamaksan will continue hiking towards the Viewing Observatory. 🚌 2/3 hours from seoul by subway and bus. ⛰️ Hiking day-trip from seoul where you can reach after a few hundreds steps, a suspension bridge. you will get to see Ungye waterfall and a temple after a little more hiking. 💡 highlight of the day was the temple. the view from there was amazing and the statues all around it were so beautiful that we actually stopped there way longer than initially planned. we loved the 12 tall Chinese zodiac signs statues set on top of a cliff that allowed us to enjoy the view on the statues and on the suspension bridge. #timetotravel #helloautumn #trip #korea #hikingtrails #mountainview #gyeonggido #daytrip

Winter travel experience at Kamaksan, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea Which is about 5-6 hours away from Seoul by car The way up the mountain is quite steep. There is no shuttle bus. If you want to go, you have to rent a car or drive your own car. On top, there are many types of flower gardens. The highlight here is the purple flower. I can't remember the name of the flower, but it's very beautiful. It's all over the mountain. The surrounding area is full of beautiful views, whether it's many large windmills, a rooftop bridge to stand and take pictures on top, a forest of sweeping flowers, beautiful photo spots. #summervacay Alright, let me tell you, the Gamaksan Suspension Bridge is way cooler (and wobblier 😅) than I expected. It’s tucked in the mountains of Gyeonggi Province, and getting there involves a chill little hike through foresty paths and rocky spots. Not too hard, just enough to make you feel like you earned the view. Then you reach the bridge. It’s long, kinda bouncy, and stretches across this gorgeous little valley with forest and cliffs all around. It’s one of those “whoa, I’m actually walking in the sky” moments. Definitely gives you a bit of that thrill without being scary-scary. The breeze up there? Chef’s kiss. There’s a viewpoint at the end too, where you can just sit, catch your breath, and soak it all in. Super peaceful, not super touristy, and such a good escape from city chaos. Bring water, wear comfy shoes, and maybe pack a snack. 10/10 mini adventure. Would absolutely do it again.

#summervacay So I finally checked out the famous Gamaksan Suspension Bridge in Seolmari, and yeah, it totally lived up to the hype! The hike up isn’t super intense, but it’s got just enough incline to make you feel like you earned the view. And once you hit that bright red suspension bridge? Dang. It’s long, a little wobbly in the best way, and the views of the valley and forest below are chef’s kiss. Definitely a photo op moment. After crossing the bridge, the trail continues up toward Gamaksan’s summit, which isn’t crazy high but still delivers with a nice panoramic payoff. Lots of chill spots to sit and snack along the way too. It’s super popular, so expect a bit of a crowd on weekends, but the vibe is fun and friendly. If you’re looking for a half-day adventure that combines some thrills, nature, and Instagram-worthy moments, Gamaksan’s got your back. 10/10 would wobble across that bridge again!

When going to the dmz there was an option to book it with red suspension bridge. The bridge shows nice views on the area, but on its own is not something that's a must see. If your time is limited you can consider skipping this one

It takes about 10 minutes to go uphill and you can see the beautiful scenery with the suspension bridge. There is a small waterfall 250m away from the suspension bridge. This bridge is dedicated to the one thousand British soldiers that fell during the battle in 1951. We could see bunkers along the hike.
