Ta’ Kola Windmill, is located in Xaghra on Gozo and was built in 1725 and was in almost continuous use until well past the end of the Second World War; in 1992 it became a museum. It is one of the few surviving windmills dating from the period of the Knights of St John on the Maltese archipelago. If you are visiting the Maltese a cappella go in 2025 and particularly goes out it’s definitely worth a visit. Here is large with beautiful soft golden sand. The water is often very clear and quite shallow for some distance.
