Rating 10 out of 10. Gongjicheon, the main stream of Chuncheon. This is originally a healing place for Chuncheon citizens. It's a place crowded with people who come to exercise or walk. I wanted to visit Gongjicheon, which I usually don't see.
Early morning again. It's a big deal that day and night have been reversed these days. Since COVID-19 has been longer than expected, I like night more than daytime when there are many people. This is because I aim to walk without thinking and spend time daydreaming.
Anyway, I've been to all the downtown areas in Chuncheon that I could go to, such as Gangwon National University's back gate, Aemakgol, and Toegye-dong, but I couldn't leave Gongjicheon out, so I visited. The result was successful

It's beautiful.
I have to admit that Chuncheon City's landscaping is great. Gongjicheon is a small stream, similar to Cheonggyecheon, but it's been well-decorated. The walking path and bike path were also perfectly made, but the best part was the occasional graffiti and stone bridge. And the bright but not so bright lights.
And maybe because they didn't use incandescent or daylight lights, there were no bugs around the stream. Why? Chuncheon has many lakes, so there are a lot of bugs, but there were no bugs near the lights. It was unusual. Normally, the lights next to the stream should be full of bugs, but
Eco-friendly Gongjicheon
Let's take a quick look at the Gongjicheon stone bridge. The stone bridge is quite sturdy. What's surprising is that there are a lot of fish. Hundreds, if not thousands, of fish the size of minnows were gathering at the entrance to the stone bridge. They seem to have come to eat the moss that grows there.
Wild animals were also occasionally seen. Starting with cranes, various birds were hunting for fish at dawn and night to escape the heat.
And there were no people fishing around Gongjicheon. It may be because the stream is small, but I didn't see any fishing trash. It was truly a pleasant space.
