Tired of the city noise? Want a healing seaside getaway with family and friends? Zhoushan is the perfect vacation spot! Here's our detailed 3-day, 2-night family trip with kids to share with you all.
❤️ Pre-trip Preparations:
We chose to drive there. Checked the car in advance and packed snacks, water, sunscreen, swimsuits, beach toys, plus kids' blankets and pillows for comfortable naps during the journey.
Itinerary
Day 1: Departed Shanghai in the morning – the scenic drive had the kids buzzing with excitement. Arrived in Zhoushan by noon and checked into Changqiao Pelican Hotel. Had a quick lunch at the service area! Spent the afternoon at Changqiao Ocean Park. Went to bed early to recharge for Day 2.
Day 2: Slept in, had hotel breakfast, then visited Changqiao Tropical Rainforest Zoo. At noon, drove to Guanhai No.1 Seaview Resort Manor.
The route offered stunning views of mountains meeting the sea – kids chattered excitedly while pointing at the scenery.
Following navigation signs to the manor, we first checked in at reception where staff were exceptionally welcoming. After quick formalities, we drove directly to our assigned villa which had dedicated parking spots and EV chargers – super thoughtful!
The villa's ground floor featured a spacious lounge area with meeting table, sectional sofa, and tea table – perfect for chatting over tea with friends. I chose the third-floor seaview room where ocean breezes greeted me upon opening windows, with the vast sea instantly uplifting my mood. My friend stayed in a first-floor garden-view room with adjoining kids' room featuring a cozy reading/play corner that kept children happily occupied.
That afternoon we visited nearby Xiaowushi Pebble Beach – its unique black pebbles fascinated the kids who played with shovels and buckets while we adults relaxed nearby. Dinner was at "Zhelihai Seafood Restaurant" in the resort town – Zhoushan's seafood needs no introduction!
Day 3: After manor breakfast, we explored the grounds for morning photos. Packed up, checked out, and drove back to Shanghai filled with wonderful memories.
