[2025 Osaka Attraction] Travel Guide for Gundam Next Future Pavilion (Updated Jul)

I visited the Osaka Expo during its opening week in April. At that time, I had a 10 AM reservation, but due to long lines, I waited for about an hour and entered at 11 AM. I spent around 3 hours enjoying the daytime experience until I left at 2 PM. I was so satisfied with the experience that I wanted to visit again at night. So, I booked a night ticket for late June and revisited the expo. Night admission is available from 5 PM to 9 PM, and I arrived around 7 PM. I also chose a hotel close to the expo venue. The hotel shuttle took me to Cosmosquare Station, right in front of the expo. Entering at 7 PM was seamless, with no lines at all. I visited the Wind Area, where many Japanese companies were showcased, and the Atom Pavilion, both of which required only about 7 minutes of waiting. Even the official souvenir shop, which seemed daunting during the day, was easy to enter after 8 PM without any lines. I spent 5,000 yen on Hello Kitty merchandise but didn’t end up buying anything from the Atom Pavilion. The highlight of the visit was taking stunning night photos. At 9 PM, I left for Yumeshima Station. The journey back to the hotel involved three transfers. Even with just 2 hours, I was able to fully enjoy the atmosphere of the expo. Thank you!

Netherlands, UK, Canada, UAE all focus on sustainability and cutting-edge technology. 🍱 The food is also extraordinary. We tried the "Future Food" zone, which has experimental food of the future. (Looks more delicious than you think!) And of course, there are plenty of Japanese foods. Takoyaki, ramen, bento boxes, simple but very satisfying 💕 🎆 Evening highlights: Drone show + mapping + sparkling fountains are so good. I couldn't stand and watch it until I didn't want to go back to the hotel. 🌌✨ 📍How to get there: Take the subway and get off at Yumeshima Station (夢洲駅) and walk a bit more. 🚇 Now there is a shuttle service if you book tickets in advance. 📝 Tips: Download the app in advance + book a Pavilion time slot. Wear comfortable walking shoes and prepare a power bank. Don't forget to bring an umbrella and a hat because the sun is strong and there are a lot of lines. It looks fancy, but the viewing time is short and it's too focused on watching videos, so it's not very fun. Thailand Pavilion: As expected, this is a pavilion focused on watching videos. The scale is smaller than that of the Korea Pavilion. China Pavilion: This is the largest of the pavilions I've visited. The exhibition seems to never end, so you can feel the continental atmosphere. However, the exhibition was focused on the past and present, so it was difficult to feel the future. German Pavilion: The most innovative content. The small doll automatically explained the future world according to the location. It was a useful and novel experience with the theme of circulation. Gundam Pavilion: The most powerful of all the ones I've seen. The vibration effects, images, and various movements made it very immersive. It was the most enjoyable. Food: The taste was good overall, but the price was too expensive. There is a convenience store inside, so it would be good to use it. Kura Sushi requires a reservation, and local reservations were not possible as of 11 o'clock. I went to the Kansai Expo in the rain! I was a little worried because I couldn't get a reservation for the pavilion 7 days or 3 days in advance. But in the end, I had a lot of fun◎ My ticket was a night ticket (17:00-22:00), but now for a limited time, you can enter from 16:00! I went to the East Gate early. The train, station, and venue were not that crowded, so I was able to enter smoothly. First, I went straight to try the "Myaku Myaku Lottery", but the lottery was closed at 16:15 (tears). It was too popular... I pulled myself together and went around looking for a relatively empty pavilion with the goal of "going around as much as possible!" I went around the places where I could enter with a wait time of about 20 to 30 minutes. We were able to enter the ✅Malaysia Pavilion, ✅Philippines Pavilion, and ✅Commons (area experience) near the East Gate right away. On the other hand, there were long lines of 90 to 120 minutes waiting for the France Pavilion and the United States Pavilion, so we gave up this time. We also climbed up to the large roof ring and moved to another area from there. We were able to enter the ✅Brazil Pavilion and ✅Oman Pavilion smoothly! Then, from around 9 p.m., the fun drone show started. We got a venue-only menu at the 7-Eleven in front of the Netherlands Pavilion and watched while eating. It was more impressive than we imagined and we were moved.✨ On the way back, we took a taxi from the West Gate. We were nervous that we might not be able to enter without a reservation, but in the end we were very satisfied to be able to go around four pavilions and one commons! Both adults and children had fun and it was a day that made us think, "I want to go again!" By the way, we highly recommend bringing a raincoat on rainy days! Umbrellas are quite a nuisance when waiting in line... I was glad we had a raincoat!

#Outdoor date After checking out, I go to Osaka Station. I meet a delay of 7 minutes. Since there is a coin locker inside the station, I leave my suitcase in the coin locker without going outside and take the JR to Bentencho Station. It is crowded from here. Because of the delay and the crowd, I arrive at Yumeshima Expo Station at 10:07, 7 minutes later than 10:00. I head to the line according to the control. There are separate lines for 09:00, 10:00, and 11:00, but there is no separate confirmation procedure. The East Gate (Yumeshima Station) has a total of 27 entrance gates, and PET bottle (seal) inspection and X-ray security check are conducted outside. There is a roof, but it is outdoors, vulnerable to wind, rain, high temperature, and humidity, so I waited in line for about 40 minutes and finished entering around 10:47. The pavilion reservation was only for Gundam 2 months ago. Enter and do about 30 minutes of adaptation training to quickly circle the ring and get used to the scene. At 12:00, reserve an additional pavilion that is empty on the day. In the middle, we visit about 2 places that can be seen without reservations and recharge with wagyu skewers and Nama Beer at the Osaka food court building that follows. There is also a shuttle bus for those who don't want to walk, and it costs 400 yen per ride or 1,000 yen per day and stops at 6 places. As is well known, the exhibition hall is a majestic donut-shaped, giant wooden structure that spreads out like an amusement park. We allocate 4 hours and move in a short and thick plan. At 12:00, we visit the Blue Ocean Dome Pavilion for about 30 minutes. Until the next Gundam entrance time, we look around the lower part of the loop for about 30 minutes. It is a moment that makes you think that the exhibition hall is well-made in a Japanese way. In June, Kobe, and in July, I will experience the summer nights once more with the night opening. Enter according to the Gundam reservation time. Move sequentially through the 5 spaces. I had a similar experience at Huis Ten Bosch. It is not an experiential type, and you can only see it with your eyes, so it does not really fit the concept of going up to space by elevator. 5D Flex was realized more than 10 years ago, but it lacks liveliness because there is no movement. However, it is a fantastic space that Gundam enthusiasts would enjoy. You will be given the privilege of taking a Gundam pamphlet and a picture of the back of the Gundam. It takes about 25 minutes to walk from the Gundam to the East Gate exit where Yumeshima Station is, and at the time of reservation, I did not know that there was a shuttle in the venue, so I made a reservation for the return flight to Osaka Station at the West Gate where there is a bus stop. You can easily make a reservation on the app called Kansaimasu, and you can choose the place with the easiest route. If you do not have the app, you can also use the website. The fare is more than twice as expensive as the subway, but it is fast and convenient. I am confident that there is no better event in the world for an outdoor date with a lover or friend.
