Onuma Quasi-National Park is a vast national park located north of Hakodate. It is made up of several large and small lakes and ponds, with Onuma at the center. I went to Numa no Ie to buy Onuma Dango, which is famous at Onuma Park!!! These used to be sold on express trains, but I haven't ridden them for a while so I don't know. Sorry. The gradation of the port and sky seen from the top of the hill was like a scene from a movie. 🌸 Goryokaku Park The moat and greenery surrounding the star-shaped castle were beautiful, and just taking a walk soothed my heart. The stone walls and waterside that give you a sense of history, and in spring and autumn the cherry blossoms and autumn leaves would look even more beautiful! Before checking out the next day, we ate the legendary sea urchin curry rice in the hotel restaurant. The shape of the white rice is imitating Komagatake (a volcano in Onuma Quasi-National Park), which is super interesting and attentive. The curry sauce is rich and heavy. To be honest, the taste of the sea urchin is relatively suppressed. It can only be felt a little bit in the aftertaste, but it is still delicious and unique overall. If you are a golf enthusiast, you can't miss this place! There are large golf courses around the hotel, the scenery is beautiful, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Currently, direct flights to Hakodate are operated by Starlux Airlines and Tigerair Taiwan, which makes Hakodate a popular destination for Taiwanese tourists. The international airport is quite small, with only one baggage carousel and a single duty-free shop. For lunch, we had Hakodate's exclusive Lucky Pierrot burger at Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse. Besides burgers, there are plenty of other options to choose from. The warehouse area is filled with various shops, reminiscent of Kaohsiung's Pier-2 Art Center. Next, we visited the Centennial Women's Convent, established by eight nuns sent from France for missionary work. The convent is still home to nuns today and offers some souvenirs for sale. Finally, we explored Onuma Quasi-National Park, one of Japan's New Three Views. The park features a lake adorned with 126 small and large islands scattered like exquisite bonsai arrangements. The islands are connected by 18 bridges, creating a stunning and picturesque scene that is truly a marvel.

When you step into the large log cabin-style store surrounded by greenery, the first thing you'll see is a merry-go-round. At the counter, you can order the specialty Chinese chicken burger, made with plenty of locally produced ingredients. The bite of freshly fried sweet and spicy chicken, crunchy lettuce, and mayonnaise is a local taste that goes beyond the boundaries of B-grade gourmet. It's also a great pleasure to feel your own happiness while visiting the photo spots inside the building, such as the heart-shaped bench and the large lucky chair. Take the Hokuto from Hakodate Station, it takes about 30 minutes. It's a 1-minute walk from Onuma Park Station, and Numa no Ie is on your left hand side as soon as you leave the station. I visited here on a weekday in May around lunchtime. I was able to buy it right away without having to wait in line, and I was able to eat it in the space outside the entrance. I bought soy sauce and sesame (small portion) for 430 yen. It was hot, so I also bought bottled milk from Yamakawa Farm. It was very soft and had a gentle sweetness, and I was able to eat it quickly. We had eaten too much for breakfast, so we ordered small portions for two people, but we were also interested in the soy sauce and bean paste (small portion). I took the Hakodate Main Line from Hakodate Station to Onuma Koen Station. I had Onuma Dango. Two-colored dango with mitarashi and red bean paste. They come in large and small sizes. You can take them home, but if you want to enjoy the softness of the dango, it's best to eat them right away♪
