DaNang, a resort city in central Vietnam.
It's not as big as you think, but if you look around, it's full of the city's unique liveliness, the leisure of a resort, and the charm of combining tradition and modernity.
I'll organize this trip into a review of the course that I visited without missing anything for 2 nights and 3 days.
⸻
🏙 Day 1 - 'City Day' from Pink Cathedral, Han Market, Yongdari View, to Night Market
📍 Danang Cathedral (Pink Cathedral)
A pink European-style cathedral located in the heart of the city. It's famous as an Instagram-worthy photo spot, but it's actually cuter and more lovely than you think.
If you go early, there are fewer tourists and you'll get better photos!
🛍 Han Market
A representative traditional market in Danang where you can feel the local atmosphere. There is nothing you can't find here, including fruits, souvenirs, fabrics, and dried fish. It's also a great place to shop for dried mangoes, coffee, and traditional pickled seafood.
Don't forget to bargain!
🍽 Dragon Bridge View Restaurant
In the evening, you can leisurely have dinner at a restaurant with a view of Dragon Bridge (Yongsong Bridge).
If you time it right, you can also watch the Dragon Bridge Fire Show (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 21:00).
After dinner, it's a great place to visit the nearby night market (Helio Night Market or Son Tra Night Market) and enjoy a can of beer and some simple local food.

💆♀️ Day 2 - Starting with a massage and ending with Hoi An sensibility
💆 Massage
If you come to Da Nang, you must get a massage! In the morning, I relieved my travel fatigue with a 60-90 minute full body massage.
There are many massage shops with good value for money, so you can get a high level of satisfaction even at a luxurious place for 15-20 dollars.
🛒 Lotte Mart
After the massage, go to Lotte Mart Da Nang.
Good for bulk purchases of Orion Choco Pie (Vietnamese-only flavor), beer, coffee, and souvenirs.
The air conditioning is great and there is a food court, so you can have lunch!
🏮 Hoi An Old Town & Night Market
In the afternoon, take a taxi or tour vehicle to Hoi An, which is about an hour away.
The yellow old buildings, the relaxed atmosphere, and even the lantern boats floating along the river are all picturesque.
In the evening, you can see lanterns, natural soaps, and handicrafts at the Hoi An Night Market, and you can also taste various local street foods.

🏖 Day 3 - End with My Khe Beach Emotion & Ocean View Rooftop
🌊 Walk on My Khe Beach
Walking on My Khe Beach early in the morning.
It is a quiet and clean beach, so it feels good to walk barefoot.
A quiet morning with a takeout from a nearby cafe is healing itself.
🦐 Seafood Restaurant
For lunch, go to a seafood restaurant near My Khe Beach.
Enjoy a hearty meal of Vietnamese seafood, including lobster, grilled clams, and shrimp fried rice.
Grilled fish and mango salad are also delicious!
☕ A glass of local café
Stop by a famous Vietnamese local brand café (Cong Café, Highland Coffee, Aroi, etc.) on the café street and have a cup of coconut coffee or condensed milk coffee.
The cool interior and relaxed atmosphere are really nice.
🌇 Rooftop Bar
At the end of your trip, have a cocktail at a rooftop bar with a view of the Danang city or the beach.
It's the perfect moment to wrap up your trip while watching the sunset over the ocean.
Recommended rooftops: SKY36, Altitude Rooftop Bar, Top View Bar

Da Nang is a small city, but it's a great place to enjoy a balanced view, rest, and eat. This trip was really satisfying as it was a course that could easily cover the main points in 2 nights and 3 days, and it also allowed me to enjoy relaxation, local experiences, and the atmosphere. In particular, I still can't forget the night view of Hoi An and the drink on the rooftop at the end.
