【Fukuoka・Yanagawa】A One-Day Sightseeing Schedule in Yanagawa
After exiting the Yanagawa Interchange, I spent a day exploring the Yanagawa area, which is about a 10-minute drive away 🚙. Here are some recommended spots to visit!
📍Hiyoshi Shrine
From late December to early April, you'll be greeted by a large "Otafuku" mask!

📍Yanagawa Area
・Harapeko Kitchen
Try their fried pizza! They offer a variety of flavors, perfect for snacking while walking around!
・Unagiya Gen
They serve "Unamusu" (eel rice balls)! If you find "Seiro-mushi" (steamed eel) too expensive but still want to enjoy eel, this is a great option! It was incredibly delicious! Personally, I found "Unamusu" satisfying enough!
💰 Price per person: 700 yen
📍Anri Farm
The farm is filled with beautiful bougainvillea flowers! During the Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival) season, "Sagemon" decorations are also displayed. You can even receive puffed rice snacks as souvenirs!
💰 Price per person: 300 yen (entrance fee)

📍Olive
This café is located inside a hospital and serves delicious parfaits! While I only visited for the café, their daily lunch specials also looked affordable and tasty!

📍Former Toshima Residence
This is a tangible cultural property designated by Fukuoka Prefecture! Take a look at the meticulous craftsmanship of old Japanese houses. During the Hinamatsuri season, "Sagemon" and doll displays are featured.

📍Karatachi Literary Foot Bath
Relax your tired feet in a hot spring after sightseeing! Many locals frequent this spot. The spring water has a silky texture and feels amazing!
