New Attraction at Hoshino Resorts Tomamu on July 7th!
On July 7th, a new attraction called Cloud Round will debut at the Unkai Terrace in Hoshino Resorts Tomamu! This new spot, resembling a swing, is located at the highest point of the Unkai Terrace.
That day, the clouds kept changing from bad weather-type sea of clouds, transforming the scenery in front of me moment by moment. Someday, I hope to encounter a thick, fluffy sea of clouds!
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Unkai Terrace! To celebrate, special anniversary events are planned, including the debut of Cloud Round.
Starting May 1st, the Unkai Cafe within the terrace began selling Cloud Cakes. These adorable sweets are made with cream using Tomamu milk, designed to resemble clouds. When you cut into the cake, you'll find a sauce made with haskap berries inside.
While strolling around the terrace, I discovered the Cloud Omikuji (fortune slips)! Inside the fortune slips are lucky charms shaped like viewing spots, and this year, a special 20th-anniversary charm has been added. When I tried my luck... surprise! I got the 20th-anniversary charm! Haha.
There are many other anniversary events, so be sure to check them out!
For those who can't visit the Unkai Terrace, you can still enjoy the Unkai Parfait at Restaurant hal during dinner. It's very popular and looks adorable too.
💡Photography Tips💡
• Shuttle buses run from each hotel to the gondola station, but for serious photographers, it's best to drive your own car (or walk) to the gondola station.
• If you want to capture the new spot without crowds, head straight to Cloud Round after getting off the gondola. While there are many popular spots like Cloud Bar and Cloud Walk, bypass them and go directly to the farthest point, Cloud Round! Below it, you'll also find Cloud Pool, so it's a win-win.
※ Please follow the designated route and avoid going against the flow.
