Convenient and Artistic: Hotel Collective in Okinawa
📍Address: 2-5-7 Matsuo, Naha, Okinawa Main Island, Okinawa, Japan, 9000014
Last year, I unlocked the legendary Okinawa Island thanks to winning a three-day, two-night round-trip ticket from Hong Kong Express. Since the trip fell on weekdays, it was like working from a different location for me.
Amid my busy schedule, I chose HOTEL COLLECTIVE, located on the main street of Kokusai-dori in Naha City. Its location is incredibly convenient, situated between the Naha Monorail City Hall Station and Miebashi Station. Downstairs, there’s a Lawson convenience store and Ichiran Ramen, and popular restaurants and shops like Don Quijote are within walking distance. If you’re hungry late at night, grabbing a midnight snack is super easy.
The hotel entrance has a bus stop with direct routes to beaches and other attractions (make sure to check the schedule in advance❗️), making it ideal for business travelers and family vacations.
⭐️Hotel Design:
The hotel’s overall design revolves around the concept of "Open the Emotion," blending Okinawa’s tropical architectural culture into its facade. The heart-shaped sculpture at the entrance, designed by a German artist, is particularly eye-catching. The lobby features a clean and bright business style, with a butterfly crystal chandelier as the visual centerpiece. The overall color scheme is brown, and the facilities are relatively new. The lobby feels like an art gallery, with abstract paintings on the walls and uniquely designed furniture.
Guest rooms start at 30 square meters, which is considered spacious in Japan. The hotel has 13 floors and 260 rooms, with some suites featuring tatami-style rooms. Upon entering, you’re greeted by bright windows that offer views of the sunset. The large desk and complimentary mini bar are appealing features, while the soft lighting and comfortable bedding create a clean and tranquil environment that instantly makes you feel at ease.
⭐️Hotel Facilities:
The hotel has two entrances: one for visitors arriving via public transportation on the main street and another for those driving. The rooftop garden features an outdoor pool where you can enjoy panoramic views of Naha City and gaze at the starry sky at night. On the third floor, there’s a sauna and a gym equipped with advanced fitness equipment.
Next to the pool is the buffet restaurant. I tried the breakfast buffet here, which offered a variety of dishes and was overall quite good. Dining options also include a Chinese restaurant, Japanese restaurant, Spanish restaurant, and bar, all of which reportedly serve excellent food.
⭐️Hotel Service:
The staff is quite international, ensuring smooth communication in English. Their service is warm and attentive, and they proactively help with luggage.
