Humble Rays was a really refreshing take on usual cafe food. The asian influences felt innovative and were executed perfectly! The first dish was an Okonomiyaki Benedict. The base was a vegetable pancake, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. This was well complemented with smoked salmon and poached eggs while the bonito flakes gave the whole dish a nice burst of umami. The next was a Scrambled eggs and crabs croissants. The chilies gave a surprising kick to the eggs in contrast to the creamy and buttery eggs! The croissant was crisp and fluffy and there was a good amount of crab meat throughout. While the rice crackers and sacue at the side gave the dish added texture and flavour, I would prefer if these elements were better incorporated into the dish overall. Lastly the drinks were great as well! We tried a refreshing drink with popping pearls and their Hojicha didn't disappoint. Would recommend this place if you're looking for something new!
