Hwangnyeongsan Observatory 🐶
Review of Hwangnyeongsan Observatory – The night view of Busan that I still remember until today
I have seen pictures from the internet before, saying that the viewpoint here is beautiful, but when I went there myself, I have to say that it exceeded my expectations by a lot.
We chose to go in the evening, intending to watch the sunset. We took a taxi from Geumnyeonsan Station, not far, about 10 minutes (recommended if you don't want to walk up the mountain). When we reached the parking lot, we walked a little bit further. The path was not very steep, it was a wooden staircase and a ramp, alternating. The atmosphere along the way was quite quiet, but it was safe and there were people walking up gradually.
When we reached the viewpoint, it was a 180-degree panoramic view of Busan. We saw the Gwangalli Bridge, the sea, the city, and the mountains in the background. When the evening light fell, the sky started to change color from orange to purple and gradually got darker. The street lights in the city started to turn on. It was like watching the whole city breathe in front of us.
There were places to sit up there and there were many good photo spots. There were swings and the steel frame of the beacon that was lit up at night. The romantic atmosphere was great even without a partner.
We sat there for almost an hour, just looking at the city, not doing anything. But I felt very peaceful. It was a time when I could really stop everything. It was like time slowed down.
On the way down, I was a bit worried because there were no taxis waiting. I had to use the KakaoTaxi app to call one or else I had to walk down to the bus stop. But it wasn't too difficult if I prepared myself in advance.

Simple summary from my heart:
• The view here is really beautiful. It's peak in the evening until night.
• If you want beautiful pictures, go before the sun sets.

If you plan to go to Busan, I recommend putting Hwangnyeongsan on your list. It may not be as talked about as the beach or cafe, but for me, this is “an unbelievably quiet memory in the middle of a big city.” It's the most convenient to go by taxi. Plan your way back well.
