Qingdao is one of my favorite places to visit in China. If you wanna party, you can go to Angelinas. Intercontinental hotel has a nice bar on the rooftop. Nice place to chill as well. Le Meridian Hotel by the beach is also a must to see. Far from the city center but worth it.

Intercontinental buffet located on the beach of Qingdao. I've been here with my friends quite a few times, and the steaks grilled on the spot and the special seafood (prawns, lobster, or crab) provided per person each day show pretty good quality. The absolute number of food options is a bit smaller than other 5-star hotels, but the food options are not just filling the options, but are mostly edible, and what this place is especially famous for is the amazing night view. When the evening comes, the colorful lights of the buildings and the sea come together outside the large window, creating a spectacular view. Therefore, the competition for window seats is fierce, so I recommend making a reservation in advance or going early. The renovation of Qingdao Haier InterContinental was completed in 2014 and it is indeed old, but the location is really good. Inside the hotel, you can see too many approximate locations. The hotel is very large and has several buildings. It is not very convenient to travel by public transportation. If you want to take a slower route, there are only a few buses, which are not very convenient. The subway station is still a little far away. However, the attractions are all by the sea, so taking a taxi won’t be expensive. If you travel to Qingdao and want to see the sea, it is very convenient to stay here. The Olympic Sailing Center is just outside the hotel, and a short stroll along the beach will take you to the May Fourth Square. Near the Olympic Sailing Center, there is Hisense, the most expensive brand shopping mall in Qingdao; near the May Fourth Square, there is MixC; and there is also a Ginza not too far away. There are several good large shopping malls in Qingdao. As for food, it's close to the sea, and there are a lot of local dishes nearby, and the taste is pretty good.
