[The exhilarating feeling of driving over the sea] A spectacular driving spot: Mid-Sea Road
The "Undersea Road" that runs from Uruma City on the main island of Okinawa to the remote islands is a spectacular driving course that makes you feel like you are driving on the sea🌉🌊
The emerald green sea spreads on both sides of the straight road that is about 5 km long, and on a sunny day it is so beautiful that you cannot tell the boundary between the sky and the sea✨
Along the way, there is the "Sea Station Ayahashikan", which is perfect for taking a break or looking for souvenirs!
When you actually drive there, driving with the windows open and feeling the sea breeze is the most relaxing experience🚗💨
It is free to pass, so it is also perfect for a cost-effective trip!
[Access]
About 1 hour by car from Naha Airport. About 30 minutes from the Okinawa Expressway "Okinawa Kita IC"🚗
It is accessible by public transportation, but a rental car is recommended.
[Travel Tips]
✔️The best time to go is from morning to noon! The time when the color of the ocean looks the most beautiful
✔️Check out the local gourmet food and exhibits at the "Ayahashi Seaside Station"
✔️You can also enjoy touring the remote islands of Ikei Island, Hamahiga Island, and Miyagi Island!

[Okinawa] Uruma City: A cafe restaurant with a spectacular ocean view
[Undersea Teahouse] Located in the "Ayahashi Sea Station" in the middle of the undersea road in Uruma City
The undersea road connects Henza Island, Miyagi Island, Ikei Island, and Hamahiga Island, islands that can be reached by car in Uruma City.
The "Ayahashi Sea Station" is located in the middle of the road.
You may stop by to buy souvenirs or take a toilet break, but
the cafe restaurant inside is recommended.
You can enjoy delicious Okinawan cuisine while looking out over the blue ocean of Okinawa from both the inside and the terrace seats.
We had the special Okinawa soba "Undersea Teahouse Special" with pork ribs, sanmai pork, yushi tofu, and mozuku seaweed, and taco rice during lunch time.
The noodles are made with mozuku seaweed,
and they were chewy and delicious.
The restaurant is divided into three parts:
LUNCH TIME: 10:30-15:00
CAFE TIME: 15:00-17:00
SUNSET BAR: 17:00-21:00
The menu changes depending on the time of day, but you can enjoy the ever-changing sky and sea no matter what time of day you go.
This is a recommended cafe restaurant for spending a relaxing time in Okinawa.

Kaichu Road in Okinawa
The Kaichu Road in Okinawa is a breathtaking driving spot where you can feel like you're driving on the sea. This road, which serves as a bridge crossing the sea, boasts an excellent location where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the clear blue sea and white sandy beaches. On sunny days, the color of the sea shines vividly, and the natural beauty is truly soothing. There are also beaches and observation decks along the way where you can stop by and fully enjoy the scenery of Okinawa while driving. Be sure to visit this special road that runs over the sea.

[Okinawa Prefecture] Recharge your energy for the drive at a restaurant along the undersea road!
An underwater teahouse (it's like a roadside station) located on one of Okinawa's best driving routes.
It was a chilly day, so I ordered taco rice with mozuku soup, but it seems that the set also came with mozuku soup (there is a picture of it on the menu, but it's not written on the menu), so I ended up drinking a lot of mozuku soup... My stomach was totally full, so if you go, be careful!! (lol)
It's a funny story now, but the waiter was laughing while bringing it, and I wish he'd confirmed when I ordered.

Recommended attractions for self-driving tours in Okinawa. The scenery is very beautiful. I was shocked when I went there for the first time.
