Kobe Airport miniaturelife exhibition (miniature life) Tatsuya Tanaka
#Overseas travel
The Miniature Life X Kobe Airport exhibition, which was introduced as a special exhibition in 2022, has been reopened as a permanent exhibition due to explosive support and continues to this day. If you stay at the Portpia Hotel, you can get a manhole card and go here.
If you go to the 4th floor of the airport, there is an observation deck where you can see Kobe City View, Akashi Kaikyo Bridge View, Kansai Airport, and Osaka City, and you can also see airplanes taking off and landing up close.
The miniature exhibition is held in two buildings here. First, there is a wooden model in the center, which is also a work of Miniature Life, and you can touch it and take pictures together as an installation art.
The exhibition is divided into the Kobe Zone and the Airport Zone. Let's start with the Kobe Zone. This is a space that shows Kobe City in miniature. The main large-scale work expressing the Kobe City view with local products is the best.
It shows Kobe City from Port Island, starting from Kobe Airport. The author's detailed parts are felt as they are. The Portopia Hotel where I stayed was also included in both the main building and the new building. (Hotel PET bottled water also appears.👍)
Similarly, the Okura Hotel where I stayed previously also appears, and the square hotel building is accurately depicted with a square box that can be inferred from the Okura Hotel Bakery packaging box. It's fun to find them one by one.
The Rokkosan Ranches are also expressed amazingly, and the ingenuity of matching them with local specialties continues. If you watch the video from the Seoul exhibition, you can see how they are made, and you can see that they add details to details.
After viewing the Kobe Pavilion, I saw the tree sculptures in the central square, watched a light plane take off, and saw the view of Kobe City and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, and quenched my thirst from the hot weather since the morning with Pocari Sweat.
I went up to view the airport zone. There are similar works here that I saw at the exhibition held in Yeouido. In the travel theme corner, airport scenes are expressed in various ways using calculators, coin lockers, iPhones, scotch tape, staplers, cutters, etc.
It is an amazing moment that will make you exclaim in admiration. Let's look at the moments captured in photos while looking at the works in the airport zone with your own two eyes~~~! You can feel the artist's creativity and wit through wordplay in detail.
If you are traveling to Osaka, stop by Kobe Airport. I think you will gain small but great happiness. I was able to feel in detail what I couldn't see leisurely because I was buried in the crowds at the Seoul exhibition. Thank you.
