#0yentrip When I visited Kuranda Village, I stopped off at the Kuranda Koala Gardens. It's a small zoo where animals unique to Australia gather, and is especially famous for being a place where you can see koalas. There are also kangaroos and wallabies in the zoo, and I was able to see them quite close up. The koalas were smaller than I expected, and they looked very cute when they were sleeping. I was also able to feed the kangaroos and touch the wallabies, and was able to get close to the animals and spend a little time relaxing. The zoo itself isn't that large, so you can look around quickly, and I think it's a good spot even when you don't have much time. There is a service where you can hold a koala for a commemorative photo, and it is very popular, so it's a good idea to check in advance.

#australiatrip Super cute place, must visit. The Koalas are in an enclosure but you can see them up close napping or min munching. If you want to hold a Koala you need to buy a photo ticket, same for a snake/lizard. It was bright and sunny day with some drizzles so the kids could pet a lot of kangaroos and wallaby. The kangaroos were fed so much by visitors before us that day they dint want to eat the paid food but they were eating grass, so when the kids were happily feeding them grass. Every employee there seemed so friendly and aware of special needs and very helpful.

Access: Kansai International Airport → Cairns I went there without any plans, just booking a flight and a hotel! lol I went to a tour shop in Cairns the day before, decided on a plan to go to Kuranda, and got on a bus at the designated location on the morning of the day, and went to the station where I could catch the Kuranda Train 😋 The station name was Freshwater! From there, I arrived in Kuranda while enjoying the magnificent scenery on the Kuranda Train, which is famous in Japan as a train from the world. Tourist attractions: Zoo with koalas, crocodiles, wallabies, and kangaroos Hotel: Crystal Brooklyn Riley Hotel Meals & Restaurants: When you arrive in Kuranda, there are souvenir shops and restaurants everywhere! By the way, it cost about 4,000 yen to take a photo with this koala! lol

Please visit Koala gardens as it was just amazing! I learned about Pandemelons which I never even heard of and fed them. So if you have a child it’s a must. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and answered all questions and more. I genuinely feel like they personally cared about each animal and they were so gentle and compassionate with each one. The photographer made sure we got great photos!

There are only two places in Australia that can hold koalas, one of which is in Queensland.
