The Chapel of San Aniceto is just a delight beautiful Frisco ceilings, gold leaf ornamentation truly exquisite. The chapel is dedicated to Aniceto, one of the first Popes and was built to contain his relics. And it was the first time in the history of the Catholic Church that such remains were permitted to be held privately. There’s something about Italian coffee culture that makes even a simple stop for a cappuccino feel special. I ordered a cup, and what arrived was almost too beautiful to drink—a perfect frothy surface with a cocoa-dusted heart, framed by a rich ring of melted chocolate along the rim. The first sip was pure indulgence: creamy, warm, and just the right balance of sweetness and bitterness. It was the kind of coffee that lingers, not just in taste but in memory. The café itself had a festive air, with little touches of Valentine’s charm. A display near the counter showcased Lindt chocolates in heart-shaped tins, nestled alongside a plush giraffe, which added a playful touch. It was a reminder that Valentine’s in Italy isn’t just about grand romantic gestures—it’s also about simple pleasures, like good coffee and a hint of chocolate. Turin is known for its love of chocolate and coffee, and this morning was the perfect example of why. Sitting there, watching the barista work, hearing the hum of conversation around me, I couldn’t think of a better way to start the day. A small moment, but a perfect one.

#italytrip I just had an incredible visit to La Venaria Reale, and it's a place that should be on everyone's list when in Italy! 🏛️✨ Located just outside of Turin, this grandiose former royal palace is often compared to Versailles, and it’s easy to see why. The entrance fee was €20, which included access to the palace, gardens, and current exhibitions. The sheer scale and opulence of the palace are breathtaking, with its magnificent frescoed ceilings, elegant halls, and the stunning Galleria Grande, a long, white gallery filled with natural light and intricate details. 🖼️👑 The gardens are equally impressive, stretching as far as the eye can see, and are perfect for a leisurely stroll. 🌷🌳 I spent hours wandering through the carefully manicured hedges, fountains, and blooming flowers. There are also some fantastic modern art installations scattered throughout, which add a contemporary twist to the historic setting. If you’re up for it, take a ride on the mini train (€4) that loops around the grounds—it’s a fun way to see more of the gardens without all the walking! After exploring the palace, I stopped at the café in the courtyard for some coffee and gelato. ☕🍦 The views of the palace from the outside are as impressive as the inside, especially with the mountains as a backdrop. I highly recommend visiting La Venaria Reale for its combination of history, art, and natural beauty.
