Day 1: We flew from Shanghai to Nanning and arrived early in the morning, we then got a Didi to the Mingshi village, it took about 2 and a half hours. we then arrived at our hotel and were able to check in early. We spent the rest of the day enjoying their wonderful rooftop pool before heading into the village for some dinner. Day 2: Day two was our trip to the Detian Waterfall which was the main reason for our visit. We got a Didi and it took about 40 minutes to the ticket office, we bought our tickets and then got onto the shuttle bus to take us to the entrance of the waterfall. It was even more beautiful than we thought and we spent about 4 hours there taking in all the beauty and enjoying some Vietnamese foods. We then got a Didi back and went out for dinner again that evening, there are many options for food around the hotel Day 3: We spent our last day enjoying the pool once more before heading to the Mingshi Scenic area and exploring some of the other hotels in the area, there are many gorgeous hotels around and breathtaking views everywhere you go. [Must-Visit Attractions] 1. Attraction Name - Detian Waterfall. The most incredible scenery with the stunning waterfall, you can take a bamboo raft right up to the waterfall and you can see Vietnam. You can also try some lovely Vietnamese foods and coffee 2. Attraction Name - Mingshi Scenic Area. The whole Mingshi village is beautiful, surrounded by mountains and nature. [Must-Try Food] 1. Banh Mi, Pho and Vietnamese coffee at the Detian waterfall 2. There are several restaurants around Mingshi village that sold Passion fruit pork ribs and they were incredible. The photo spots are unlimited, everywhere you look at the waterfall makes for stunning photos, there are also specific photo spots such as a swing in front of the waterfall. the Bamboo boat also makes for wonderful photo opportunities. [Tips] There are hotels closer to the waterfall but Mingshi Village is wonderful and has lots of other scenic areas and restaurants to visit on the other days of your trip. be prepared to spend about 600 RMB on a Didi to and from the airport as it is quite some distance. it is possible to get several different trains and buses for cheaper to get there but we opted for the easier option. The Bamboo Raft at The waterfall is an upsell of around 60 RMB per person but it is definitely worth it.

Address - No.57 Nongpengtun, Mingshi Village, Daxin. Ambiance/Facilities - the most gorgeous outdoor swimming pool with incredible views, varied breakfast option, gorgeous views from the room, free fresh fruit, lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Highlights - the swimming pool was definitely a huge highlight for us, aswell as the wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. it was also very convenient to get to the Detian Waterfall which was the main reason for our visit. Avg. Price per Person - we paid £50 per night for two people. Rating - it is a 4 star hotel but it our opinion it should be 5 star. We flew into Nanning Wuxu airport and got a Didi to the hotel, there were cheaper options such as trains and buses but we chose to get a Didi for ease. The staff were always so friendly and helpful and the hotel was gorgeous, couldn't fault it!

Guangxi Chongzuo·Daxin Hualu Hotel During the Guangxi March 3rd plan, I looked at countless Daxin hotels with my family. At first, I wanted to book LUX* to experience it, but it was too expensive during the holidays, so I gave up. I accidentally saw Hualu and immediately searched it on Ctrip. Surprisingly, there were almost zero negative reviews, so I quickly booked it! We booked a mountain-view king room with a balcony. The room facilities are very complete. The only thing I think is lacking is that the toiletries are not disposable (I hope the hotel can change to disposable ones in the future). The privacy is relatively not so good (but I think this price is already very competitive). There is an infinity pool on the top floor facing the mountain view, which is indeed a bit beautiful. The breakfast is all-inclusive, and you can also choose to have lunch and dinner at the hotel. The hotel's food is still very good. I strongly recommend the passion fruit ribs, they are so delicious. At around five or six in the afternoon, the hotel will hold an egg tart baking activity, which you can participate in for free if you have time. The location is also very good, located in the center of Mingshi Tianyuan. The surrounding facilities are relatively complete. It is very close to the bamboo raft location, about seven or eight minutes by bike (the hotel provides free bicycles, but I do not recommend taking the bamboo raft, it is really not worth the price). It is about a half-hour drive from Detian Waterfall.

Day1. Nanning → Gulong Mountain Grand Canyon → Sandie Ridge Waterfall → Detian Waterfall Scenic Area Accommodation. The itinerary is quite rushed, after playing at Sandie Ridge head to Leizhen for dinner, by the time it's completely dark, there is a section of mountain road about 30 minutes long, pitch black, quite difficult to drive. Gulong Mountain has very high waterfalls and caves, Sandie Ridge is a free attraction, the waterfall is not high but wins in its delicate beauty, few people and you can take photos freely. Day2, Detian Waterfall → Longtou Mountain Viewing Platform → Mingshi Pastoral Accommodation. The homestay is within walking distance to the scenic area, saving the trouble of a 35 yuan round-trip bus, and right across the river is Vietnam, quite interesting. Passing by the No. 837 boundary marker, no one around, free to take photos. The No. 836 boundary marker in the Detian scenic area instantly lost its appeal. Longtou Mountain is the drone view of Mingshi Pastoral, with a small platform, shed, resting tables and chairs, and trash bins, definitely worth the 20 yuan. Stay at Daxin Hualu, this homestay is beyond reproach, with great scenery, large rooms with complete facilities, Shiseido toiletries, priced between 500-1000, very good value for money. Day3. Mingshi Pastoral Cycling Mingshi Pastoral can be said to be full of beautiful scenery everywhere, such as Fish Scale Dam, Happiness Bridge, Big Cartoon, etc., all very photogenic. Even at the edge of the fields, by the river, on the bridge, you can sit quietly for a good while. There are many cycling routes, some places are not clearly marked, still need improvement. Continue to stay at Daxin Hualu at night Day4. Mingshi Pastoral → Tongna Bay → Qiaomiao Reservoir, stay in Daxin County. Originally wanted to drive along Anping Xianhe, but encountered a farm vehicle transporting sugarcane that had a flat tire on the way, blocking the road, so had to walk along the river and check a few ferries before leaving, very few tourists. The forest sea of Qiaomiao Reservoir is a bit like the waterborne karst, with people camping and barbecuing by the lake. Wanted to drive around the reservoir, but the roads in the sugarcane fields were too small, winding with many forks, got lost in a short while, and navigation was useless. So had to give up Day5. Daxin County → Buquan Township → Nanning Airport. Going to Buquan Township requires driving another forty to fifty minutes of winding mountain roads, but it's absolutely worth it, the beauty of Buquan Township is like a gem hidden in the deep mountains. Along the way, there will also be large fields of red heart dragon fruit, quite spectacular, for those accustomed to plains and small hills, Guangxi's scenery is both grand and delicate. Perhaps for people from mountainous provinces, the shock may not be as strong, you can say I'm inexperienced, but please do not belittle the mountains and rivers of Guangxi. This self-driving experience in Guangxi was really good, met all warm and hospitable people, even the 80-year-old gatekeeper at the foot of Longtou Mountain, we could chat for a while. In school, the geography textbook described Guangxi as the largest sugar-producing area, and being there in person truly made me appreciate the vast sugarcane fields. It is said that the Yangtze River Delta is a sweet food area, and I can't help but think that more than half of every spoonful of sugar we add to our dishes may come from Guangxi.
