Lotte Hotel Busan Club Deluxe Twin Room Experience
This time, I chose Lotte Hotel Busan. The Club Deluxe Room costs 210,000 KRW for a Sunday stay, and they also provide a complimentary Aveda kit worth 30,000 KRW.
Although the price is for two people, I am using it alone. It would be nice if, like in Japan, there were different rates for single and double occupancy, but in Korea, the price is often based on double occupancy. For solo travelers, Japan is more advantageous, while Korea is better suited for families or couples.
I took a flight from Gimpo at 12 PM and arrived at Gimhae Airport just before 1 PM. I reached Seomyeon, where the hotel is located, around 2 PM and was able to check in early.
The club floors are located on the 31st to 35th floors, and I got a room on the 34th floor with a view of the Yeongdo side, where you can slightly see the ocean. The Club Lounge is on the 33rd floor, and it is conveniently connected by internal stairs from the 34th floor.
Breakfast the next day is on Monday, so instead of the lounge, regular breakfast is available at La Seine. (Lucky!) After check-in, I enjoyed the afternoon tea time at the lounge.
Ronnefeldt tea is provided both in tea bags and in tea caddy form. Although there are no teapots, you can brew directly in the cup, and the tea caddy form allows for a richer and deeper tea experience.
There are five types of sweets and two types of fruits, along with a variety of beverages. The lounge offers the same Yeongdo view as the room, and the opposite side has a space that doubles as a meeting room, providing a city view.
After the afternoon tea time at the lounge, I went to Delica Hans on the 1st floor to purchase a bottle of champagne for the evening and left it for refrigeration. Coincidentally, a friend's family was also visiting Busan, so I headed to the Hilton in the evening.
After buying the champagne, I went to the lobby lounge, The Lounge & Bar, next door to enjoy the reserved strawberry afternoon tea. (I have reviewed the afternoon tea separately.) Here, I noticed the Japanese hotel.
Guests staying at the hotel receive a 20% discount at the hotel's dining establishments, which significantly reduced the cost of the afternoon tea. When staying at Japanese hotels, they often offer menus and discounts for guests, making it easy to decide to use them.
Since I was going to spend money anyway, the hotel encourages spending within its premises, and the prices are attractive. The afternoon tea was delicious, doubling the joy.
Next was the Club Lounge cocktail service time. After finishing the afternoon tea, I took about an hour to digest and prepare for the next activity. There were more guests compared to the afternoon.
About 30 minutes after the cocktail service started, I went down, but the chicken teriyaki was already sold out. They had sparkling wine like Cava and white wine from the Montes Classic line, which are slightly more expensive than other places.
The teriyaki spot was replaced with snail cream dishes, and the selection was quite satisfying. I focused on shrimp dishes, enjoying two plates and two glasses of wine before heading to Gijang to meet my friend.
After midnight, I took a taxi from Hilton Busan to Lotte Busan, which took about 25 minutes. We used an elevated expressway, and additional toll fees were incurred. It was a delightful time.
I had a restful sleep on the cozy Lotte He:on bed and had breakfast at La Seine on the 5th floor. La Seine lived up to its reputation. I also used the sauna on the 6th floor.
The sauna (large bath) here is as well-equipped as the one at Lotte Hotel World. It connects to the gym and indoor swimming pool, although the outdoor pool seems to be under construction. The (dry/wet) sauna is currently not in operation.
When staying in a club room, late check-out is available until 2 PM, but I left the hotel at 11 AM since I had another afternoon tea waiting in Haeundae. The staff remained friendly until the end. Thank you.
