Marisfrolg - Shenzhen
The Marisfrolg Tower in Shenzhen is a mixed-use complex integrating office, hotel, and commercial functions. Designed by New Zealand's national treasure designer, Mr. Fred, and his AVB architecture firm, the building's inspiration comes from the seabirds featured in Marisfrolg's 2006 Autumn/Winter fashion show video. The overall shape resembles an eagle spreading its wings. The complex took 15 years and CNY 1 billion to complete.
The building's exterior walls feature a variety of raw materials, such as natural stone, pottery, ceramic tiles, old green and red bricks, cast iron, glass, and fair-faced concrete. The combination of these raw materials and modern craftsmanship creates a stark contrast, both rustic and full of charm. This design style not only evokes a sense of harmony between the building and nature but also gives the impression of being in an alien base, full of fun for exploration and discovery.
Marisfrolg Tower is not only an architectural marvel but also a cultural center for fashion and art. It will become a comprehensive creative park integrating office spaces, fashion experiences, an architectural museum, art exhibitions, cultural tourism, and a high-end hotel, creating a new fashion landmark for the city and striving to become a top international fashion, art, and culture center.
The building's spatial design is full of creativity and practicality, with nearly 1,000 square meters of usable space for fashion shows, art exhibitions, brand launches, and cultural exchanges. Viewed from the air, Marisfrolg Tower resembles a giant seabird soaring through the sky, or a cool and mysterious alien base from a science fiction film, creating a strong visual impact.
In summary, the Marisfrolg Tower in Shenzhen, with its unique architectural style and rich functions, has become a landmark building in Shenzhen and even the whole country, attracting much attention and admiration.
