The perfect place to stay in Harbin is at the Mercure Central Street. It is right near Central Street and also next to the Sophia Cathedral. Address - 道里区兆麟街92号（距索菲亚教堂200米, 麦凯乐商场旁) Ambiance/Facilities - The hotel is modern and clean. The rooms are comfortable and have a nice design. I also found the staff to be very accommodating and helpful when I ran into any problems. Highlights - The hotel isn't very expensive, so I decided to upgrade to a bigger room. This room had a nice bathtub and a coffee machine that other rooms didn't have. There was also a fully stocked fridge, free of charge and a fruit basket waiting for me. Avg. Price per Person - 350 rmb Rating - 4.5 stars

During my trip to Harbin, I stayed at the amazing Mercure Harbin Sophia Church. It's in a great location in the city center, just a short walk from the magnificent Saint Sophia Cathedral. The Byzantine architecture, combined with the white doves that fly up from time to time, makes you feel like you've been transported to a foreign country in an instant. I couldn't help but stop and take photos of the cathedral from different angles. When I got tired of walking around, I went back to the hotel to rest. The hotel has great facilities. The smart room controls, Dyson hair dryer, and comfortable mattress in the room made me feel very comfortable. After resting, I was able to work out in the hotel's gym, or relax with a drink in the lobby. There are also many restaurants around the hotel. There are all kinds of local snacks and Russian restaurants on Central Street, which greatly satisfied my taste buds. The crispy and tender Guo Bao Rou (sweet and sour pork) and the refreshing Kvass were delicious. Then I went to the Music Gallery, which was an easy taxi ride from the hotel. As soon as I arrived at the Music Gallery, I was drawn in by its unique atmosphere. The European-style buildings, the beautiful melodies played by street performers, and the sparkling Songhua River next to it created a romantic picture. Here, I slowed down, felt the river breeze, listened to the music, and immersed myself in the artistic atmosphere that is unique to Harbin. Whether it was interacting with the street performers or strolling along the gallery and admiring the river view, I felt that this trip was wonderful.

♥Three recommended hotels in Harbin (Volga/Mercure/Mercure) ✔Meiju (Hashi Branch): French decoration, large interior space and excellent service. I called before check-in to inquire about room selection preferences and reserved a room as needed. When we checked in, we found that the room had a slight decoration smell. The lobby manager immediately showed us three other rooms of the same type, changed us to a room without smell and sent us an air purifier. The experience was good. There is a rich variety of welcome fruits, good hygiene details, comfortable bedding, and rich breakfast. The price is around 500, the price/performance ratio is good, the recommendation index is four stars (it is a bit remote for tourism, but it is very convenient to take the high-speed rail). ✔ Mercure Hotel (Central Street Sofia): Excellent location (convenient for tourists, about five minutes walk to Sofia Cathedral). The hotel fragrance smells good. Free coffee is provided during afternoon tea time from 14:00 to 17:00 (it seems to be this time period) (there is a coffee machine opposite the front desk, which is good). Welcome fruits and red wine upon check-in. The room is slightly smaller than Mercure, but the details and hygiene are good, and the breakfast variety is also good. The recommended index is four and a half stars (wins in terms of cost performance and location). ✔Volga Manor Hotel: Since I planned to visit Volga, I simply booked Volga Manor Hotel (I thought there was only this one before booking, but after I got there I found there was another one, I haven't stayed there so I can't comment on it). The hotel price is 500+ including two tickets. Although it is a good price, the environment is average, with the style of a guesthouse for veteran cadres, a little cold, and outdated bathroom facilities. If you can get up early to visit the Volga, it is not recommended to stay here (you can check for another hotel, I don’t know if it will be better). There aren't many types of breakfast, and the taste is just okay.

When we arrived at the lobby, the staff greeted us with a smile and invited us to sit down. They politely informed us that In this cafe, everything is free to eat all day long. 🥹 Hot coffee from a luxurious machine, a variety of teas, fruit juices, herbal drinks, cookies, snacks, candy, and ice cream (1 bar/1 person/stay). It is a small cafe with not many seats, but hot coffee in a cold atmosphere is impressive. It is a very good self-service Welcome Drinks. 👏 ✨ Not enough, when checking out, there is a large bag of New Year's gifts. Inside is very full. 😃 It is a really special experience. At first, I chose to stay at this hotel without expecting much from a 3-4 star hotel. I chose to stay because the location is good near the famous St. Sophia Church.
