Getting from Milan Airport to the city
Part of the trip, I flew into Milan airport. When I got out of the airport, I looked for a train sign to go sightseeing in Milan before going to my accommodation.
The airport is not complicated. The building is a single floor. The train station is a little separated from the passenger terminal.
The train into the city is the most convenient way. But on the way back, I tried the bus to the airport, which was also convenient. It passed through a vertical forest, which is a tall building with trees planted on it. It looked green all over the building. There is only one like this in the world in Milan.

I Fly to Italy to Tell You Why Gelato Tastes Completely Different
#siciliansea Italy is famous for gelato, but if you’ve only tried ice cream elsewhere, you’re in for a real treat. Gelato here isn’t just a dessert—it’s a cultural experience that awakens your taste buds. #postandearn
I booked my trip with Trip.com and made it a point to taste gelato in every city I visited—from Rome’s bustling streets to Florence’s charming squares. What sets Italian gelato apart is its texture: denser and creamier because it has less air than typical ice cream.
Flavors come from fresh, high-quality ingredients, often sourced locally, think ripe pistachios from #sicily or fresh strawberries from Tuscany. Unlike overly sweet ice creams, gelato balances sweetness with natural flavor, making each bite rich but never cloying.
Eating gelato in Italy feels like a ritual: choosing your favorite flavors from colorful displays, savoring each spoonful slowly while strolling historic streets. It’s a must-have for any traveler, and booking your Italian adventure with Trip.com ensures you’re never far from the best #gelateria .

Sala Montale, a casual lounge in Milan Malpensa
#AirportLounge
On this trip to Milan, we tried out Trip.com's free lounge privileges for diamond members at Milan Malpensa Airport. Having a lounge is something that helps travelers feel less tired. Escape from the chaos of the airport and sit quietly on a soft sofa, walk to see the view of the planes through the large glass windows, and walk to find something to eat. There are salads, various types of bread, and desserts to choose from. For those who like to drink, they also have unlimited choices.
Inside, there are 220 seats, including sofas, counters by the glass to see the view, or tables for working a bit because they have high-speed wifi.
If you are departing from Malpensa Airport Terminal 1, come and use this service. Don't be so comfortable that you forget the time to board the plane.

💞Reasons to Recommend:
I missed my connection flight due to a very tight connection time. I informed the staff at trip.com and they helped me get a new flight for free and the previous flight was completely refunded by trip.com, I felt heard and privileged. This is the kind of attention we expect from companies we trust.

Recommend doing TAX REFUND at Milan Airport, Italy
Many people who have had the opportunity to travel must have gone shopping. So I would like to recommend doing Tax Refund. I will explain the steps briefly for you to listen to. So that you know when you arrive at the airport, you can do it correctly. For the things we bought, I recommend that you separate them in case the officer asks to see them. Milan Airport Terminal 1 Tax Refund is in Area 12.
Documents that need to be prepared are:
*** Tax Refund documents that the store issues when we buy things. Write your full name and address because some stores print them for you, some stores do not. We have to write them ourselves. Check and fill them in beforehand to save time.
*** Return flight tickets The officer will ask to see them when checking the documents. When you have all the documents For products purchased in Italy, you don't have to go to the Custom Office to stamp.
Because I traveled to Italy only, but I misunderstood and waited for the Custom Office to stamp. When it was my turn, they explained that products purchased in Italy and then flew out of Italy do not need to be stamped (simply put, you only buy things in Italy and then fly out of Italy). Except when we travel to Schengen countries, buy things but fly back from Italy, then we have to come to stamp.
*** Come to queue to request a tax refund according to the tax refund camp, which is mostly Global Blue and the queue will be the longest as well. We can choose to refund to a credit card or receive it in cash, which will deduct a higher fee.
That's all for requesting a Tax Refund at Milan Stadium.

Malpensa Airport, the gateway to Milan, Italy (Tax refund method)
#2024WishEvent
Take a bus or train from Milano Centrale Station to the airport for about 50-60 minutes and you will arrive at Malpensa Airport.
Airport train fare: 13 euros per person. You can also reserve in advance through the Trenitalia app. There is no seat reservation, and you can only reserve train tickets.
Bus fare: 10 euros per person. There is an airport bus boarding place next to Centrale Station, so you can pay on site and board any bus right away.
There were not many people at the airport, so check-in and tax refund were both completed quickly.
You can use the kiosk or submit tax refund documents at the counter and apply. You need to prepare your passport and tax refund documents in advance. You will also be asked to choose whether to receive it in cash or by credit card. Also, depending on the items or quantity purchased, they may ask you to confirm your purchases. So you need to get a tax refund before going to check in.

[2023.10] UK Travel Diary - The LCC I used for my Europe Hopping
European LCCs are cheap and convenient!
I made the reservation through trip.com.
1. Brillingair
Route:
VY7823 London-Barcelona
VY2216 Barcelona-Seville
A low-cost airline from Spain.
Perhaps it's because of the country's culture, but the flight attendants were very cheerful.
When I got on board, the pilot's seat door was open and a child had gone to play, which made me feel the difference from Japan.
I was surprised to see so many people using the in-flight sales.
On Japanese LCCs, not many people buy in-flight sales.
The aircraft used was an Airbus-321.
It was a size larger than the planes used by Japanese LCCs, and had about 150 people on board.
On VY7823, I was lucky to be assigned a VIP-Seat, which was comfortable.
2. Ryanair
Route:
FR1204 Seville-Milan
An Irish low-cost airline.
Ryanair is a company that is committed to cutting costs, and if you check in at the airport, you'll be charged an additional fee of about 9,000 yen.
Therefore, you must check in with your smartphone.
The aircraft is a Boeing-737, which is rare for an LCC.
The overhead lockers and seats look like they've been used, so I wonder if the aircraft was donated from somewhere?
There was no in-flight booklet, and all in-flight sales were ordered through the app. The cost reduction is amazing.
It felt more like riding on a night bus than on a plane.
But the price is so cheap that I have no choice but to use it.
3. EasyJet
Route:
U28362 Milan-London
LCC from Luton, England.
Terminal 2 in Milan was a terminal exclusively for EasyJet.
The third terminal at Kansai Airport is similar to Peach.
The aircraft is an Airbus-319. This is the same model as a typical LCC in Japan. There were no particularly unusual services, so it felt similar to a Japanese LCC.
Bonus: Prime Air
Amazon's Prime Air was stopping in Milan!

Case Nuove Business Hotel near Malpensa Airport, Italy Crowne Plaza Milan - Malpensa Airport
Address: Via Arturo Ferrarin, 7, 21019 Case Nuove VA, Italy
Atmosphere/Facilities: An old-fashioned hotel with a breakfast buffet
Features: Near the airport
Price per person: 3,000 yuan
Rating: This business hotel is about a 5-minute drive from the airport. The facilities inside are very old-fashioned. Many wooden decorations show that this is an old hotel. The interior is clean and comes with free mineral water. The bed is firm and a bit springy. The room is not soundproofed and you can hear the sound from the bathroom next door and the voices of people walking by. Complete spare parts. The air quality has a slight musty smell.
Breakfast is a buffet with everything you need. Not luxurious though. But basically all the common breakfast dishes that can be found in Italian hotels are available here. The breakfast was average but not bad.
In addition to the lobby, free ice is provided on every floor, which is quite considerate. In addition, it is very close to the airport and the price is reasonable, so it is a good choice for a one-night stopover.

Milan Airport Info
#celebratewithtrip
Milan Malpensa Airport is located 50 kilometers northwest of Milan city centre and is well connected by highway and public transport.
The Trenord-Malpensa Express links the centre of Milan with Malpensa airport and is the fastest option. A one way ticket cost €13, departing from Milano Centrale and taking 50 minutes to reach Malpensa Terminal 1.
Malpensa Airport has 2 terminals which are quite far apart, but both terminals are connected by a free shuttle that runs every 7 minutes.
There are car rental companies at the arrival hall, tax free counters at Row 12, you need to get a custom chop from the opposite.
After security clearance, duty free shops, luxury brand shops, numerous restaurants and cafes around there.
The international flight had to proceed to gate B to the passport control section. Everything is smooth and fast.
