#January travel support event Bali, where I went with my friend's family last summer I stayed in Ubud and Sanur in Bali for 4 weeks, and the most memorable places are Tegalalang and Monkey Forest in Ubud and the quiet yet leisurely beach in Sanur and the brunch I had with my friend while looking at the blue sea are vivid memories. Club Beach in Seminyak, where the red sunset was so beautiful, and surfing at Kuda Beach, where I experienced it for the first time with my child. There is no place that is not a memory. The natural interior of Bali, wherever I go was so touching. I miss the friendly smiles of the Balinese people. As I write, I am getting Bali sick. First activity of kicked off the trip with surfing — riding the waves was both thrilling and surprisingly therapeutic. Then came tubing, which was a refreshing way to soak in Bali’s natural beauty. These experiences reminded me that Bali isn’t just about relaxation — it’s alive with pulse-pounding activities. We also explored Trans Studio Mall and the stunning Icon Mall, which was a nice modern contrast to Bali’s nature. Best lunch at Wild Habits — the pizza and pasta were unforgettable, possibly one of the best I’ve tried in Bali ! Nature lovers would fall for Monkey Forest — playful monkeys, serene paths, and centuries-old temples. And if you’re looking for Insta-worthy thrills, the Glass Bridge and Rainbow Slides offered stunning views with a side of adrenaline. One of the most peaceful moments was enjoying lunch with a view of Mount Batur in Kintamani. The café overlooked a scenic volcanic lake, and the atmosphere was calming, even majestic. We ended the day at The Grand Lagunas for a some adventure under the chilling weather. I had one regret — we missed the chance to release turtles at the conservation center due to time constraints. It was my first experience traveling to Bali. I saw the culture, the people, the environment, the architecture, the way of dress, the way of life, and nature. The people here are kind and friendly. The cost of living is not too high. If you come by yourself, I recommend that you have a local guide because the traffic here is quite dangerous, both driving and the roads are quite narrow. If you choose to stay overnight, you should choose a city near the Monkey Forest because the roads do not have much sidewalk. If you go and walk on the side of the road, you might fall off the shoulder.

This mystical forest offers a unique opportunity to observe these cheeky primates up close in their natural habitat. We took our cameras and got some very nice shots and funny ones too. The opening hours are from 9am to 6pm. The entrance ticket is 80,000IDR on weekdays and 100,000IDR on the weekend. There is also a small fee for motorbike parking. If you are already in the center, you can easily walk there. The forest is quite big. We took our time leisurely and strolled around for photography, which took us about 2 hours. We went around 4pm and that was perfect because it was less hot. While the monkeys add a lively and interactive element to the visit, it's essential to stay cautious with personal belongings as they can be quite bold. There are some rules to follow to ensure safety for both the visitors and the monkeys. There are also some rangers in there to supervise and help you out if monkeys take your belongings or are acting too rowdy. Overall, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it when we decided to visit because I as worried it would be just too touristy. However, I actually had a great time! The monkeys are super cute and playful, they are captivating to watch, and great subjects for photography! If anything, the place is also a great area for a nice stroll. An incredible experience that shouldn't be missed when in Ubud. Despite the warnings about aggressive monkeys in the reviews, we found them surprisingly nonchalant as they passed within inches of us. Ironically, the only incident of 'bag snatching' we witnessed occurred just outside the enclosure, where a passing shopper lost her bright red bag to a mischievous monkey. We visited late in the day, close to 5pm, and found the monkeys very relaxed, as evidenced by my photos, seemingly ready for sleep. Entrance is 80,000 Rupiah per person on weekdays, though I understand it's more on weekends. In my opinion, it's worth every Rupiah; the expansive and magnificent grounds alone justify the cost.
