We participated in Nagasaki Minato Festival 2024, a seasonal summer event in Nagasaki City! The festival took place over a wide area, including Nagasaki Waterfront Forest Park and Nagasaki Port, and many outdoor stalls were set up, which are a must-see at summer festivals. It was a spectacular event, with stage events and fireworks at night. The festival is easily accessible and covers a wide area, so you can enjoy the fireworks over a wide area. The 2024 festival has already ended, but be sure to check it out next year! At the Nagasaki Bayside Festival, the large sailing ship "Kaiwomaru" called at the port. The Kaiwomaru is a sailing ship and a "training ship," so it seems that "trainees" are on board. The figurehead is attached to the ship, depicting a goddess named "Konjo" playing a flute. Next to it is the "Nippon Maru," and it was the first time in 12 years that two sailing ships have called at the same time. The location was "Mizunomori Park." Luckily, the hotel I stayed in Nagasaki was near Nagasaki Seaside Park, so I could enjoy this famous attraction in the inner harbor area of Nagasaki Port every day. Location: The park is adjacent to the Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum, making it a great place for leisure, entertainment, walking, and flower viewing. My family and I jogged in the park every morning and walked in the park every night, which made us feel great. 😀 The park is divided into three parts: the Earth Plaza, the Water Garden, and the Waterside Walkway. We didn't miss any of them because each has its own beauty. Special attractions: The park has a rich natural ecology and special vegetation, which, together with the green waters, form a beautiful landscape. Among them, the "Water Garden" uses naturally flowing mountain water to create a fountain landscape, which is very suitable for children to play. The park has a venue for exchange activities and has won the Gold Award in the Architecture Department of the Good Design Award in Japan. I heard that the park also holds events from time to time, such as fireworks festivals and sailing festivals. Unfortunately, I didn't see any. Opening hours: The park is open all year round, so you can visit it at any time. If you book a hotel next to it like I did, you can check in every day. Transportation: You can take a tram or bus from Nagasaki Station to the park. It's very convenient! I was very happy when I recalled my trip to Nagasaki. 😃

Nagasaki Waterfront Forest Park is a large park located on the shore of Nagasaki Port. Located in the intricate Nagasaki Port, the view from here is quite scenic. You can see ships coming and going in the port and the mountains surrounding the intricate port. The park has a grassy area, a concrete area by the sea, and a wharf, and it seems like it is used by local residents for their daily walks. There are many tourist attractions in the surrounding area, so some people may pass by on their way to work. On October 29th, the sailing ship "Nippon Maru" called at Nagasaki. It is a training ship with trainees on board. It is a large sailing ship that represents Japan and is one of the fastest sailing ships in the world. The figurehead is also beautiful! It is a woman with her hands together, called "Aisei." In the morning, energetic ladies do radio exercises, on weekends, families come here for picnics, and couples go on dates. This park is loved by Nagasaki residents. It is located on the seafront, and one of its features is the pleasant sea breeze. The fifth photo shows mushrooms I found by chance growing on the grass (I wonder if they're edible?)
