[2025 Tainan Attraction] Travel Guide for Nankunshen Temple (Updated Jul)

#springitinerary When I was in Tainan Taiwan I visited nankunshen temple. It was super huge and there was some festive going on when I was here so it was super duper crowded! Can purchase joss sticks and joss paper here for praying! There’s also a 711 convenience store here at the temple for you to purchase stuff if you need. Overall will recommend you to come here if you have additional time in Taipei. It’s nice!

#springitinerary I visited another temple when I was in tainan. The tour guide introduced this temple to me and when I reached it was super crowded. It could be because it was a Saturday and they were holding some event. It was huge and I learnt a bit about the history of this temple and will recommend visitors to come by if you are nearby and looking for something to do when you’re in Taiwan tainan. #favouriteitinerary The Nankunshen Temple right off 17 in Beimen township, is actually one of the largest Taoist temple dedicated to "Wang Ye", who are the many emissaries of the Celestial Emperor in Tainan County. In my personal view, the place has huge beautiful lust green garden with lake that is very calming and peaceful, offering visitors and worshippers space to pray. The view at the top of the mountain is worth-pursuing as you are able to view the whole majestic temple and its surroundings like no other. Truly recommended this temple for travellers to visit.

#temple Nankunshen Dai Tianfu is located in the Beimen District of Tainan. When we got off the bus, we thought it wouldn’t take much time to cross the archway and enter the hall to take a look, but who knew there was so much hidden inside. Nankunshen Daitianfu consists of two temples: the large Daitianfu temple dedicated to the Thousand-Year-Old Five Palaces, and the small Wanshan Hall temple dedicated to Wanshan Ye. It is the largest and oldest temple for kings in Taiwan. The temple was built more than 300 years ago and is designated as a historical site. The entire temple covers a large area. There are garden facilities such as Kun Garden, Tiger Garden, and Haishan Pavilion in the palace. It is majestic and magnificent, a rare temple landscape. Back to Taiwan to play ~ I came to Nankunshen Daitianfu to pay homage. Also wandering around and feeding the fishes~ Finally, I bought a pack of shochu snails to taste 😃
