Located in Nara City, Nara Prefecture, the Nara Kingyo Museum is Japan's largest goldfish-themed entertainment facility.
The museum showcases over 40 species and more than 3,000 goldfish in a fantastical space where art and aquatic life blend seamlessly.
Situated on the 4th floor of the shopping mall "Mi Nara," the museum features seven themed zones enhanced with projection mapping, mirror balls, stained glass, and more.
In the "KINGYO × DISCO × AQUARIUM" zone, visitors can experience a magical space created by mirror balls and goldfish, while the "KINGYO × JAPONISM × AQUARIUM" zone offers a glimpse of goldfish swimming amidst a recreated Edo-era townscape.
Additionally, the giant "Human Aquarium" allows visitors to take photos as if they themselves were goldfish.
The museum also offers interactive activities such as goldfish scooping and trick art, ensuring fun for both children and adults.
Adjacent to the museum is the "Ikimono Museum," where visitors can interact with over 100 species of reptiles and amphibians.
