#malaysia Since both me and my husband on leave during Malaysia Day's 16th Sept 2023, both of us take a chance to pay a visit to our National Monument or also known as Taman Tugu Negara. However, too bad it was close for construction. Many people like us came to pay a visit to this historical place on this special day but a bit disappointed because we couldn't go near to the world's tallest bronze freestanding sculpture grouping. For those who don't know, the Tugu Negara is a national monument that commemorates those who died in Malaysia's struggle for freedom, principally against the Japanese occupation during World War II and the Malayan Emergency, which lasted from 1948 until 1960. Hope the construction will be done soon so that we can visit it again.

it is made out of bronze to commemorate some sacrifice of Malaysian warriors. can enjoy beautiful view of KL from here. this place is currently under renovation, seems like they’re building a fountain around the statue. however we can come in to take a photo. i bet it’ll be prettier when completed! in the area, there are also a cafe/restaurant, a small garden and a hiking trail. i saw an entrance to Taman Tugu Negara, looks interesting but we were run out of time so we didnt visit. there was a stream and small waterfall visible from the road (near the entrance to taman tugu negara) when we were on our way out of the area. **this place is uphill, there is a carpark at both the top and bottom, you need to climb the stairs if park at bottom. #mytripvlog #urbanexplorer #kualalumpur

The ASEAN Sculpture Garden is a amazing beautiful garden in kuala Lumpur.It is a landscape garden full of sculptures in wood,marble,iron and bamboo.The garden is great for a relaxing walk and enjoying the beautiful landscape garden with plenty of benches.Their is a restaurant at the parking area with clean bathrooms and free wifi hotspot. Next to this beautiful garden is the National Monument with amazing view of the city with flat grounds for picnic. Plenty of trees for shade and this space also have seats with canopies incase of rain.It is a small but #awesome garden where you these can relax and enjoy the view.

Getting There - It is about 4.0KM and approximately 6 minutes of driving from KL Sentral. Attractions - Located in the City of Kuala Lumpur, the statue has earned its place in the book of records as the tallest freestanding group of bronze sculpture. Hotels - I would recommend travellers to stay at Pacific Express Hotel which is only 2.8KM and 7 minutes of driving from the statue location.
