Prague Architecture Overview
Prague, the ancient capital of Central Europe known as the "City of a Thousand Towers", is amazing for its unique architectural style and rich historical heritage. Walking on the cobblestone streets of the old town, it feels like being in a medieval painting. The Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral towers into the sky, showing solemnity and sacredness; while the Charles Bridge spans the Vltava River, with thirty Baroque statues lined on both sides, which is particularly charming in the evening. The astronomical clock of the Old Town Hall is not only exquisitely crafted, but also attracts countless tourists to stop by for the clock puppet show every hour. Prague's architecture combines Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance and Art Nouveau styles, and each building seems to be telling a piece of history. Overlooking the red-tiled roofs and church spires of the entire city from Prague Castle, one can't help but sigh at the romance and depth of this city.
