#malaysia When visiting Johor Bahru Malaysia, I had lunch at Oriental Kopi at Aeon Mall, and it did not disappoint! The cafe served mainly local delights, and the food and beverages were delicious! Some of my favourite dishes were as follows: 1. Mee Siam with chicken drumstick 2. Nasi Lemak with chicken meat 3. Egg tart 4. Mango sago We will be back! My rating of this cafe: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!

I came across few videos on social media about this restaurant and the long long queues so when i found one of their outlet nearby, of course i had to give it a try! I asked the staffs how long is the waiting time and they said 15 minutes but it is actually shorter! I ordered their nasi lemak chicken meat and it was so good and flavourful. You can taste the spices in every bite! It comes with a poached egg which is pretty unique. I also ordered their tart and it was buttery. I was told that the tart has 128 layers which made it to the Malaysian Book of Records. Their kopi cincau is very strong and kaw, where the cincau jelly goes very well with the strong coffee! The restaurant chain is always full of people and their queues are never empty which prompted us to give it a try. Oriental Kopi is a true delight! From the moment I took my first sip, I was transported to a world of rich and aromatic flavors. The blend is perfectly balanced, offering a smooth and velvety texture that lingers on the palate. But years later, I gave it another shot, and this time I tried their ayam berempah—whether paired with nasi lemak, beehoon, or mee siam—and that completely changed my mind. From that point on, I became a regular. Their stir-fried dishes, like char kuey teow, are also worth noting—rich in wok hei and well above average. As for the Portuguese egg tarts, I’d rank them among the best—alongside Foo Hing’s. These are more custardy, moist, and soft, while Foo Hing’s leans toward a flakier, more buttery crust with less filling. What keeps me coming back is the consistency. They have a couple of outlets in Kuala Lumpur, and it’s always a long line in front of the store, doesn’t matter the time! We went to the one in Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 after our arrival in Kuala Lumpur for supper! It was still pretty crowded considering it was around 9.45pm. We tried chicken hor fun (because I was craving for something warm and soupy) and it was pretty good! Flavourful warm broth, fresh prawns served, chewy noodles! Oriental fried chicken meat mee siam was good too! Mee hoon was cooked well with some siam spices, which might be a little bit spicy if you can’t take in the spices but it was good! Wanted to order their famous egg tart but sadly it was sold out! Anyways, 10/10 recommending this restaurant if you’re looking for local Malaysian cuisine! #kualalumpur We recently visited Oriental Kopi at the Malaysia airport in KLIA2 and the experience was simply delightful! I ordered the chicken rice, rojak, prawn noodles and we enjoyed much . The noodle texture was perfect, and the chicken was incredibly tender. To complement the meal, I also tried their coffee and it's really good. If you’re passing through the airport, you must definitely try their offerings – it’s a culinary experience you won’t want to miss!

They have aggressively expanded their business to some most popular malls across Klang Valley. Do expect some queue when you want to eat here especially during breakfast, lunch and dinner time. Their foods are generally tasty and up to standard. An average spending per person is RM30 plus minus with a main meal and 1 beverage. This round we went to the one in Pavilion KL. We reached around 11.30am, restaurant was 80% full and queue is there as usual but was moving quite fast. We got our table in about 5mins.
