The Perhentian Islands are islands in Besut District, Terengganu, Malaysia. The two main islands are Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kecil. The small, uninhabited islands of Susu Dara, Serengeh and Rawa, lie off Kecil. Like Besut, people generally speak Kelantanese Malay. However, English is also widely spoken. There are five more islands in the Perhentian archipelago other than Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kecil. These five islands are uninhabited, but are sometimes used as snorkeling and scuba diving sites. It was such an impromptu decision to take up on scuba diving. Nonetheless, I think it was the best decision ever. Spend a week to enjoy the island like local, made alot of friends from all over the world, ate good food and finally became a certified diver. I decided to stay at the Panorama Dive Center. If you take any scuba diving course, you’ll get a free accommodation, breakfast and unlimited coffee/tea station. The service here is very welcoming. I love how all the staffs are very attentive. Most importantly, it was very safe for me here as a solo female traveler. Will definitely repeat here.

Stayed at Kg Nelayan. The environment is just like living with locals. Foods were cheap. We stayed at Perhentian Bay. Beachfront resort! The view was incredibly awesome. Got the opportunities to see shark, turtle, a village of nemos! Went to long beach by water taxi to see the fireshow. The trip was one of my beach trip that I’ll never forget. 🥰#girlstrip #
